I’m not surprised to see Jack Hanna excusing this after seeing his ethical issues in The Conservation Game. Wonder how many primates have been bought to do this with their toddler at home? The father was lucky nobody tipped off child protective services about this extremely reckless behavior that threatened their lives. We need a law similar to the Big Cat Safety Act to protect the public and the primates.

I'd love to meet a gorilla in person, though I’m afraid there’s no real chance of it happening. Of all the primates I find them the most interesting…

I have mixed feelings about this. Yeah I believe gorillas are very gentle and am about 90% certain there would no danger in this scenario but tbh I wouldn't chance it with a child, only because even HUMANS are unpredictable, gorillas for the most part gentle especially with little ones yes but they still each own individual personalities and not EVERY single one is going to be safe, and so being that they possess enormous strength than it best to not take any chances in my opinion.
@daleandrews3552
December 16, 2023 at 8:01 am
Gorillas may be gentle at heart, but chimpanzees are a whole other story. A chimp is a very volitile animal and can "snap" at moment's notice, completely taking you apart. Witness what happened with "Buddy" the pet chimpanzee and the attack on her owner's neighbor. Horrific and unprovoked.

It’s adorable ideal but still scary primates have alot of strength they can tear you apart

Large dogs are capable of harming children yet society accepts children playing with our canine friends. There are also humans I wouldn't want to be left alone with my children. My point is it's a judgement call.

You keep these things in a cage and point at them and laugh. And when they freak out it's their fault 😑

Ive always found it ironic when humans say Gorillas are dangerous violent aggressive creatures. Lol, we as a species are 6 times more lethally violent.Gorilla attack humans only when threatened in defense .We on the other hand attack one another for literally anything sometimes no reason at all.

Social services need to be alerted in some of these instances where children have been put in danger becase of their parents' vanity and stupidity.
@MannyKunV
December 16, 2023 at 8:01 am
0:51 id say no. even if the gorilla is 100% safe, they play much more rough than the kid at that age and could risk injury by complete accident

….once they except you into the clan, you are excepted forever, but just like humans these and other big animals have mood swings, a sharp eye is needed to see how their behavior is that day. Love gorillas chimps and Orangutan though.
