   It ain't going to happen just a question of how long the shutdown will last. I hope it won't be overr 35 days. Remember the MAGA'S are in control and Republican's historically are usually responsonsible for shutdowns. Republican's can't legislate and don't give two s**t's about their constituants. Vote democratic in 2024 – they should have to pay some price.

    It is a shame that the same party wants to shut down the government after they tried to overthrow this same government! These actions are a facsimile of the insurrection. The men and women of Congress should be the best of patriotic conduct this country has to offer. Government shutdowns can be stopped by codification of a government safeguard or watch dog. Just like the 14thh amendment bars insurrectionist from holding office. A codified watchdog can prevent insurrectionists from shutting down the government. A shutdown is the same thing in essence and substance of an insurrection. The constitution is more loyal than many members of government. When congress can not decide on budget cuts and changes the previous years budget should kick back in automatically. Codifying a provision as such would decide for congress and they would have to wait until next year to submits a new budget.

    As a civilian, I am free to move if the State where I live violates my civil rights: in the military, you almost never get that option. You work where they post you. Freakozoid Tumorville seems immune from making a connection between recruitment shortfalls and retention difficulties, and genuinely stupid policies like his.

    If Government Shutdown looms this what happens to your nation:

    1. National Parks will close.
    2. All Social welfare systems from Medicaid to Food Stamps will shut down.
    3. Government employees will be furloughed. They will had to work for free.
    4. Social Security checks will be delayed.
    5. No military or defensive benefits.
