‘ERODING our democracy’: Morning Joe reacts to SHOCKING NYT Editorial on Trump’s election meddling
The New York Times editorial board is out with a new series tracking 12 categories of democratic erosion in the United States, highlighting the “worrisome steps” it says President Trump has taken toward undermining American democracy. Measuring on a scale from zero to 10 — with zero representing a strong, though imperfect, democracy and 10 representing a true autocracy — the board has moved one category, “manipulating the law to stay in power,” up to Level 3. The Morning Joe panel breaks down the ominous warnings from the piece as the country heads toward the November midterms and the 2028 election.

Parents are giving up green card fights to get their kids out of immigrant jail: Marshall Project
In 2013, Ana Kikabidze was selected to receive a U.S. green card. When unforeseen circumstances hit she had to move back to her home country. When she came back to the U.S. in May with her children, the family was arrested and sent to the controversial detention center in Dilley, Texas. The facts of Biden’s corruption, collusion and abuse of office have been out there for decades. They started disappearing in a major with the Obama administration. He had help. Nothing really disappears. It’s out there if they’re serious about cleaning up the corruption.

4:04 Then, maybe parents should stay home and look after their own kids? When you do the cost analysis of one parent remaining at home, vs two parents working, you find you're not losing very much income and your kids are much better off. I get single parents need help, they should be receiving (balanced off their taxable income) extra benefits to help with expenses, but it is really unfair to ask daycare workers to accept minimum wage when they are caring for your most precious "commodity". 🤨
