If you were really trying to protect the patient, you should have prevented Hamas from being used as a den or reported that there was a tunnel underneath the building After all, Hamas and the hospital are on the same side. Patients who haven't shied away from the warnings are, after all, aiding Hamas

    Don’t believe Hamas. They are practicing what’s called taqiyya. Taqiyya is one of Islam's religiously acceptable forms of deception. It involves lying to protect yourself or to protect the Muslim community. Historically, taqiyah has been much more important for Shia Muslims than for Sunni Muslims, because Shias have been in the minority much more frequently than Sunnis and in order to protect themselves from being persecuted or slaughtered by Sunnis, Shias often had to deny that they're Shias. But takiya also involves pretending to be friendly towards non Muslims, even though you hate them. In chapter three, verse 28 of the Quran, we read “let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers who so doth that hath no connection with Allah unless it be that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking, as it were, security”. Don't take unbelievers as friends unless it’s to guard yourselves against them. Notice that this verse has nothing to do with pretending you're not a Muslim. It's about pretending to be friendly when you don't really want to be friendly. Let's read the most respected Muslim commentary in history on this verse, tafsir of Ibn Kathir. On chapter three, verse 28 of the Quran, allay prohibited his believing servants from becoming supporters of the disbelievers or to take them as comrades with whom they develop friendships rather than the believers.

    I don't understand why so many people I know are still dwelling on near groud detonation theory, the burn patterns of the trees, the shape of the crater, the sound of the bomb, the windows broken in which floors, the damage to the solar panels etc., to prove it was a israeli missile while there is a failed rocket, caught on camera, droped at the hospital. It baffles me.

    It is wild to me that two weeks after this incident, it is no longer being discussed. Initial reports overwhelmingly indicated it was an Israeli strike, then there were a flurry of stories including independent analysis that said it was a failed Hamas rocket, and while there were counterarguments (most notably from Al-Jazeera and Channel 4) noting the odd trajectory and speed of the impacting object, I can’t seem to find any further analysis after that rapid back-and-forth. I suppose I’m mostly hung up on the sound from the nearby cell phone video that sounds less like an object in freefall than a ballistic object. Since the “failed rocket” explanations seem to indicate various degrees of damage to the rocket indicated by the airborne flashes prior to the hospital explosion, has anyone explained why the angle of impact was so shallow? They say the first casualty of war is the truth, and obviously there will never be an explanation that satisfies everyone, but I would have thought someone would have investigated the various investigations by now.
