   I work in power generation. Hydro, solar, and wind are a joke and take millions of acres to equal one power plant. Natural gas is the big player right now. Hydrogen cars are the real answer.

   They know at the beginning, lithium car fires will be rare enough to not discourage sales, but eventually raise the prices of mortgages which usually require insurance to be included.

   Raise mortgages, more defaults, more properties to flip? They don't care if the power grid supports them? Its about insurance? You did not learn from Obama care?

    If you think about the whole thing, to electrify everything there will need to be a production out put never seen before in human history, just copper will need probably 30 times the amount that is currently produced globaly, that is for new evs, power lines and everything in between.
    And there are 30+ other materials that will need just as large a build out.
    Also remember that even on the 'greenest' power grids there are peaker plants that are used to cover renewable short falls which are the dirtiest form of power production when natural gas is not available.
    I am all for electric cars just on the health side with no exhaust fumes in the cities, but I'm not blind to the fact that places that build them on mass are not green powered and the materials used to build the cars are not clean to make, so to off set the carbon pollution in the making and powering of evs right now will probably take 10 or more years of driving.
    Then there are the growing number of ev fires, as more and more make it to the roads its only natural that the number of fires grows with that, and how toxic they are when they burn, with all the chemicals in the batteries both the air around the fire and the water after are left contaminated, plus fire departments not knowing how to put out fires on every different type of ev.
    Evs and green power grids might just be tech that is being widely used before they were ready and what we are seeing is the effect, build all the solar and wind you want, they won't help on a windless night, it will take a massive break through before battery tech is good enough to power entire countries over that windless night, because remember that alot of countries including the US are not building much in the way of nuclear, so when there is no wind or sun then on go the gas and coal power plants.

    Why not a segment on "grid of Grids" concept where autonomous city block scale DC microgrids link energy efficient DC buildings (greatly reduced energy use) and EV's not only solve many of the problems outlined by the climate lobby but also go a long way in mitigating the national security vulnerabilities of the existing grid, By the way, why was there no mention in this piece of retrofitting the existing transmission lines with greater capacity conduits?

    Sounds like corporate fearmongering. This video is encouraging corporate control of the energy grid…The energy itself; where the taxpaying working class including the downtrodden pay for corporate profiteering! The current system is designed for for profit oligopolies. This corporate video is preparing us–the people–for the cost of upgrades and infrastructure. This is All about ensuring corporate profiteering. Think what it would mean if every home, every rooftop, every parking lot and every window was its own generating station where the energy would be shared all around. It is time folks 'We' as a people, as a nation realize and reconsider and redesign the for profit energy system and work toward a more holistic and independent system. Let's 'Think' beyond privatizing and profiteering and maintaining the wealthy peoples lifestyle. After all this is 2023. Let's allow technology to advance us beyond the old system of capitalist consumption and evermore profit 'growth'. That is if We The People are brave enough to go against the plutocratic monarchy?

    California has a big electrical grid issue and pretty soon they will allow a water issue😂. And it's not because of climate change. The democrats are actually going to push this, which I do not know why.
