Donald Trump has prosecuted for his actions not his thoughts not his beliefs not because he thought he won the election but because of his criminal actions to try to overthrow the election along with stealing documents that did not belong to him that were classified and showed them to people he should not have

The United States has separation of powers. The judicial branch has always been separate from the executive. No president can get his political opponents prosecuted, that is up to the independent judicial branch. That's why the system of checks and balances exists. The only ones who want to change that are Trumpists. They have openly stated that they will prosecute their political opponents.

I have watched several walk-away testimonials now, and read numerous comments regarding the testimonials. I voted for Hillary and for Biden and I watch the news and read various articles and perspectives on line. I am an independent and have voted for Republicans, Independents and Democrats in the past, I am not ready to walk-away from voting for Democrats n the future. In fact, I may never vote for a Republican again. Several of these testimonials speak to the hate they see on the left and how the left wants to suppress dissent, and yet, what I see is the Republicans condemning honorable Americans like Liz Cheney and others for their honest and independent assessment of the information and their commitment to the constitution and their duty. Republicans chanted relentlessly "Lock her up!", for the very same offense (mis-handling of classified materials), that Trump has now been indicted for – even though he was given the benefit of the doubt and many opportunities to hand over the documents for MONTHS, but he refused; but now somehow Trump's indictment is political?
