China issues $2 million dollar fine for joke about army
A joke by Chinese stand-up comedian Li Haoshi, known by his stage name House, that loosely referenced a slogan used to describe the country’s military has cost an entertainment firm more than $2 million after it was slapped with enormous fines by authorities. However, it was the common people who pushed this time, and then it was exposed by the public in Tiktok and caused social criticism. Most Chinese people have a reverence for the soldiers who protect them, as they have been saved by soldiers in many disasters and are a nation that values emotions.
On the other hand, it also shows that Tiktok has the role of enabling ordinary citizens to enjoy the right of social supervision. Even many local governments have been sent to prison through the exposure of Tiktok.

Chinese soldiers (PLA) seen in parades are all for show. Props to instill fear to the enemy and false pride to an indoctrinated populace. Same goes for Russia. Look at the real soldier in the PLA, most are young, rural, and enlist just to have 3 square meals a day. Cannon fodder.
