Georgia election workers lament Giuliani’s lies as jury reaches $148 million verdict
Ex-Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani has been ordered to pay $148 million in damages to Georgia election workers Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman. Giuliani plans to appeal, claiming he did not get a fair trial in his defamation case. Meanwhile, lawyers for Trump’s former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows were in court today appealing a decision not to move his Georgia election case to federal court.

Republicans didn't like the 2020 election results and Trump supporters were lied to and told that the election was rigged. Well Trump supporters were told the election was rigged in 2016. That's right, Trump told his supporters over and over that the 2016 election was rigged months before the 2016 election was even held. That's right months before the 2016 election was even held Trump was lying over and over again saying that the 2016 election was rigged.
But then Trump won the 2016 election. That's right Trump WON the 2016 election! But WAIT Trump said the 2016 election was rigged. Did Trump act honorably and refuse to take office until that 2016 so called, "rigged election" could be settled? NO!. Trump just disregarded his own lies, took office and to save face just kept lying about the 2016 election. Where was Rudy Giuliani? Rudy wasn't going from state to state demanding recounts. Where was the pillow guy with his big circus show? Where were the countless challenges in courts? Where were the Cyber Ninjas doing recounts to uncover so called, "fraud"? Where was that mountain of chatter about election fraud? Well, election fraud is illegal so why wasn't Trump demanding that the DOJ investigate all that fraud? Where were the millions of new trials for voter fraud? Where were the new prisons to hold all those criminals who voted fraudulently? You know what, the Democrats tried to get tough on election fraud with several bills.
Where was Jim Jordan who would later support attacking democracy? Where were the other Trump congressional traitors in 2016 who would later defended the Jan. 6 insurrection? Surely they cared about election fraud in 2016, right? Wrong, they don't give a hoot about election fraud, they were too busy blocking those election security bills to tackle future election fraud, In truth, Republicans knew that Trump was lying about the 2016 election and Republicans didn't care about all that lying because they now had the power of the executive branch. Republicans knew there was no big election fraud in 2016 so they all just dropped all their lies and let the issue fade away. There was no point in pushing the lies because Republicans got what they wanted in 2016.
Then came the 2020 election and Trump started the lying all over again months before the election was even held. Trump was saying the 2020 election was rigged while trying his best to disenfranchise voters. Trump knew his lies would stick because his gullible followers believed every lie he told them in 2016.
And as expected Republicans began repeating Trump's lies as if the lies were gospel. This time they were angry because Trump had lost the election. So Trump's base believed the election had been stolen even months before the election took place. And when you're that slow and that certain about something then you're ready to drink the Kool-Aid and die for the lie. And that's were the rioters were on January the sixth. The US could have gathered up large teams of loyal Republicans to recount the votes in the states that Trump lost and if the results stayed the same Trump's base would have demanded more recounts. An election can be recounted a hundred times by loyal Republicans and Trump's base will reject the recounts a hundred times unless the recount makes Trump the winner. That's how the MAGA process works, it's not about truth it's about making Trump the winner. Republicans will go to the grave believing Trump's lies.

Republicans tried every possible way to simply overturn the election in 2020 and there was cheating like the following: 1) Trump and the GOP tried disenfranchising voters. 2) Trump and the GOP tried crippling the post office to stop mail in voting during a pandemic 3) The GOP blocked several bills that would have made elections more fair and secure. 4) The GOP blocked bills that would have helped to prevent foreign interference 5) The GOP and Trump once again elicited help for Russia 6) Trump elicited help form the Ukraine 7) They attempted to stop the counting of votes in some states and then again at the Capitol on Jan 6 8) Created conspiracies and lies to claim fraud 9) Tried to get the courts to overturn the election 10) After failing to get the courts to overturn the election they held bogus hearings where they further lied in an effort to overturn the election 11) Trump and the GOP incited violence and threats against election officials and workers 12) They changed election dates to confuse voters 13) Trump was encouraging his supporters to vote twice. 14) They attempted vote buying 15) MAGA Republicans used Robo calls to tell voters that if they voted by mail it could lead to trouble. 16) Trump tried to have the DOJ overthrow the election. 17) Trump and his MAGA traitors created slates of fake electors thus it was an attempt to cancel the votes of millions of Americans. 18) The California GOP installed unofficial ballot drop boxes. 19) Republicans used official positions to illegally obtain voting equipment and tinker with the equipment 20) Ten Republican lawmakers met at the White House to pressure Pence into overthrowing the election 21) Republicans threw such a fuss and lied to such a degree that they actually got some recounts. 22) Republicans put on lavish shows with bogus data to try and convince people that the election was rigged 23) Republicans have gerrymandered state voting maps to help them win election 24) in the 2022 election Republicans stood at drop boxes with guns to try and intimidate voters 25) after the 2020 election there was even talk of using martial law and using the military to confiscate voting machines. And all the while Republicans were projecting and accusing Democrats of cheating.
Trump was saying the election was rigged in 2016. Yes Trump was lying in 2016. But to his surprise Trump won and so he simply disregarded his lies and took office. So in 2016 there was no MAGA traitors attacking the Capitol and no one trying to overturn the 2016 election which Trump repeatedly said was rigged. There was no attempt to overthrow the election and install fake electors in 2016 because they won. But Trump did in fact get Russia's help in 2016 and again in 2020 because McConnell blocked several bills that were designed to better secure elections. And the MAGA traitors had the unmitigated gall to claim the 2020 election was stolen after Republican snowflakes did everything they could to steal the 2020 election. And now Trump is once again saying the 2024 election is rigged.

If contestants on the show "The Apprentice" had acted like Trump after the 2020 election, the contestants who got fired would have acted like snowflakes and called the show rigged, busted up the set like violent tantrum throwing snowflakes, took the producers to court, demanded second opinions and all the while kept crying and lying about being fired.

Trump admitted in an interview that the people who went to the Capitol on Jan. 6th went there because they believed the election was stolen. And as we know, it was Donald Trump who told them that. The event has been defined as an insurrection and it was proven there was a seditious conspiracy behind it. Ergo, anybody repeating the big lie as fact is guilty of further sedition and should be prosecuted.
