Brent oil slipped, easing this week’s sharp rally, after the International Energy Agency warned about a deteriorating outlook for consumption this year.
US stocks and Treasuries caught some respite as oil prices eased, with traders looking to the August US inflation report for the clearest signal yet on whether the Federal Reserve will hike interest rates next week.
Bloomberg has learned OpenAI is considering slowing down the development of cutting-edge artificial intelligence, and the ChatGPT maker’s CEO Sam Altman is hoping other AI companies will do the same. In a company-wide meeting this week, Altman told employees that OpenAI could potentially pace its AI development — perhaps in conjunction with several other AI labs, but that some may not agree to do so, according to people familiar with the matter.

You do knot know what is behind this. Most of Ukrainian land are now purchased, owned by US interests and to open the EU market for the grains, agricultural goods produced in Ukraine is a strong interest of USA therefore the bought politicians of EU are pushing for Ukraine joining EU and so to access the internal market without limits. Serbia has more advanced conditions yest still not EU member, and Ukraine which is extremely corrupt, is in war, ruined economy, not meeting any preconditions, legally unfit, managed to reach a status in 1 year what Serbia did in 6 years. If Ukraine joins EU, French farmers will be the first to burn down Paris, the Polish then the others.

Orban knows about US intentions. If Ukraine cannot join NATO for now, if it is part of the European Union, the territory will be free for American transit on the border with Russia. And Ukraine adds another burden to Europe. Finland had no reason for joining NATO. No threat. But it is in the US interest to surround Russia on all sides. They forget that the closer they get to Russia, they also become the first targets
