They maybe born on usa soil but to noncitizens so they themselves are noncitizens. Because service men and women serving over seas and have a child does t make that child a citizen of that country. The parents are usa citizen so the child is also. Let's call an apple an apple and an orange an orange.

1 Vivek clearly know the 14 th amendment. So don’t say he doesn’t know. He graduated from Yale law school. 2. He benefited from the policy cuz he was a legal immigrant. 3. His policy is to tackle illegals not legals.

Such an emotional argument. These are children born of illegal immigrants who shouldn’t be here in the first place. The 14th amendment was written at a time where the idea of “illegal immigrants” didn’t exist. It doesn’t specify for the legal status of the immigrant parents. Obviously it needs to be amended. CNN does nothing but attempt to emotionally persuade its audience.

His family came in legally, so no he is not a beneficiary of it. He’s referring to parents who came in illegally and had a baby here. The parents would most likely want to take the child back with them anyway. And if their son or daughter is 18 they can gain citizenship if born in the US.
