Congresswoman and impeachment manager Madeleine Dean (D-PA) tells Andrea Mitchell that President Trump “lit the match,” causing the riots at the Capitol on January 6. Dean also pushed back on the notion that impeaching a former president is unconstitutional. “And we do know, number one, it is constitutional because the text of the constitution is not just about removal as a result of impeachment and conviction but also future disqualification. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss the proposal of a $908 billion COVID relief bill by a bipartisan group of senators as 14 million Americans could lose unemployment aid by the end of December. Sen. Murphy says, “This amount of money could get us through what could be a very hard and deadly winter. This isn’t big enough to be able to get us to the point where the entire country is vaccinated. But it might be enough to make sure that millions of Americans don’t go hungry, don’t starve, don’t die out on the streets this winter when their jobless benefits expire and when protections for evictions expire.” Aired on 12/01/2020.

What doesn't he understand about people's desire for 'the good old days' of just 3 years ago when we had peace around the world – and $2 gas, 1% inflation and 3% mortgage and car loans at home? The American People do not need bipartisan support. When Thomas Jefferson first took office, he dismissed all but two of the Federalist's appointees. In fact, Jefferson did the opposite of every suggestion Federalists asked of him. This launched the Democratic Party that most Americans identify with.

This congressman seems like a great guy and I'm really happy he's moving to a new stage of his life where he can be with his family so much more, but I was disappointed cause I thought this departing congressman was a republican and would finally feel they can speak out on what the problems with the GOP are since they're leaving. And particualrly feel they can stand up and do the right thing during the certification of the next presidential election and vote for certifying the electoral count for the canidate that legitimately won and not go along with a coup.

I really hate it when dumservatives are like "this isn't the same party" blah blah blah when in reality, this is just the right wing finally feeling powerful enough to say the silent parts out loud.
I'm Southern and as far back as I can remember, Republicans have always been sociopathic, power hungry bigoted manchildren that viewed politics as a game they had to win instead of a position of the people.
Not only is it the same party, it's ripping the hood and robes off and saying "finally, it was getting stuffy in there!" and I like to think that the people aren't accepting what's underneath.
