So what is this traitor trying to say? its okay to give into an aggressor who invades your homeland and kills your people, burns your homes down and tortures your people, but you must give up to stop further loss of life? Please do not forget that the Ukraine did not retaliate after Russia effectively invaded crimea which was part of Ukraine in 2014! lets go back to 1939 shall we, should the UK have given in on the eve of an expected German invasion and after the disaster at Dunkirk on the premise of loss of even more lives? what would the historical outcome would be, how long would it have taken to defeat the Nazis if at all? His arguements are completely faulty and very surprising considering his own history with Russia. Ukraine had no choice to resist, and if they just let russia take all of Ukraine who would be next? He needs to have a reality check! History with the Germans from 1936 – 1945 has shown that when an autocratic ruler, totalitarian or otherwise, with deeply troubling ideologies, usually continue what ever their master plan is, they will be emboldened and will then see that as a signal of weakeness, Chamberlains agreement with Hitler in 1939 was not worth the paper it was written on. You should examine what might have been if Ukraine had capitulated, Moldova and then the balkans would be next, cutting off Greece with Nato, complete control of the black sea, in contravention of various treaties, and then threatening Italy, Germany and the med, Hungary would be on the front lines!! Hypocrisy is a luxury when you are a bystander in this war and he should be ashamed of himself for his total lack of support for Ukraine, they are dying in their thousands to protect what little they have, and are preventing Hungary from becoming the front line in this conflict!

Then why cant you call putin to stop instead of calling for ukraine

  18. @123garyg

Best proposal is hungary to merge with russia in exchange for ukraine.

  19. @dom1373

    December 20, 2023 at 5:01 am

It does seem like ukraine's negotiating power is only going to decrease or flatline. Russia being a large and authoritarian country is just in a better position to maintain a war of attrition compared to Ukraine who's funding is dependent on democracies.

Fail to see how you can have a peace negotiation unless the Russian invaders withdraw from all Ukrainian territories. Ukrainians know that it is a victory for Putin if he gains any land and he'll soon be back to invade more territory. Also no government in their right mind would even believe anything Putin says as he has broken so many promises already, including the Budapest memorandum where Russia was to guarantee their sovereign integrity.

Trump Dismisses ‘Little War’ With Iran as Borrowing Costs Rise | Daybreak Europe 9/1/2026

on

Bloomberg Daybreak Europe is your essential morning viewing to stay ahead. Live from London, we set the agenda for your day, catching you up with overnight markets news from the US and Asia. And we’ll tell you what matters for investors in Europe, giving you insight before trading begins.

President Donald Trump dismissed concerns that the conflict in Iran was draining American firepower as clashes resumed in the on-again off-again hostilities that have stretched more than six months, with neither side willing to restart negotiations to end the war.

Global bond yields climbed back to the highest level in almost two decades as rising oil prices fueled inflation concerns and investors ramped up expectations that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates.

Plus, Anthropic agreed to a $35 billion computing deal with Lambda, a cloud provider backed by Nvidia, part of an effort to quickly expand its AI capacity, according to a person familiar with the matter.
