Established by Galib Gassanoff as a deeply personal exploration of aesthetic belonging and cultural heritage, Institution operates as a social-artistic organization with an ethical foundation that extends far beyond traditional fashion.
The project’s name reflects its underlying purpose: an institution as a humanly devised structure of rules and norms that shapes individual behavior, built upon persistence and continuity.
For its debut S/S 2027 collection presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week, Institution transformed its venue into an intimate art gallery space, where garments were presented on walls like fine artworks to highlight their intricate construction and craftsmanship.
With most pieces cut and tailored by Gassanoff himself, each garment is conceived as a collectible, exhibitable object. Sourced exclusively from the deadstock of high-end producers, the collection utilizes natural silk, cotton, wool, and leather to ensure strict limited availability.
Rooted in preservation, the debut highlights a signature hand-weaving technique from Galib’s Azerbaijani community in Georgia – thoughtfully replacing traditional wool threads with cotton shoelaces to safeguard a fading heritage craft.

I like how her teeth are not perfectly all aligned. I mean, they're straight but so they are not commercially straight. I myself don't have perfectly aligned teeth either, not even after wearing clear aligners. My two front teeth tend to stand out a little more than the rest, like hers do. It just goes to show you can have 'anomalies' and still be beautiful.

I am mesmerized by these women. I had never thought, before watching this, that they are so clever, content and bright. They ruined that stereotype about beautiful girls being shallow. That's amazing how some people are gifted. Sorry for my poor language, English is foreign for me.

People uphold this illusion or live in a fantasy world if they believe that these women wakeup every morning looking as they do after 3 hours of makeup and photoshop. Of course, they look different – anyone would. Makeup is like paint, its art. HOWEVER, this doesn't mean that these women aren't beautiful. You cant compare them to their photoshopped images – lest you have unrealistic expectations. If no women wore makeup, you would appreciate how much natural beauty they have.
