I love Chanel and I always will, but Carl really needs to start thinking out of the box. Carl needs to start appealing to a broader audience. I don't think he knows how to expand his horizons. If Carl wants to people to love his clothes he needs to start showing his audience the real things he can do. He needs to show his audience his real creativity.

Love this collection it seems very colorful and elegant but there is a relax Ness to it perfect for when traveling and the shape of the clothes and skirts were my favorites

Every show uses the set to distract from the most boring clothes ever. Let's not forget that Gabrielle Chanel was a radical back in her day! Now we get the most obvious themes, elaborate sets, and the same exact clothing. Please Karl, just retire! Adding a puff sleeve or too many pleats doesn't make a garment more unique!

Can we just all appreciate the work of Chanel? Let's think about what the next generation would say about Chanel in 2015. I am glad that I am seeing Karl and Chanel together when I am alive.

Chanel became an event where you expect a magnificent set but not new exciting ideas, I think that Karl is better at Fendi, more creative and willing to take risks.

Oh, this is so terrible, almost sad, probably the devotion for the brand do not let see how horrible Chanel is these days. Maybe Lagerfeld's intention is to be bold, but definitely it is not anymore… Is trashy

¨I like the shape of airplanes¨ wow! karl is really running out of ideas.

¨fresh¨, ¨colorful¨, ¨a lot of creativity¨ ?? please vogue, interview people that could give better opinions and remarks about the collections and not banal answers like beautiful and colorful.

  16. @dylantann

    December 21, 2023 at 11:04 am

I feel like the sets are a way or distracting us from the fact that every season it's the exact same thing ? no reinvention no new idea just a slightly differently take on the tweed jacket or pant also this reminds me a lot of the "feminist" collection from last year ? a lot of similar shapes and silhouettes

Model Imaan Hammam Gets Ready For The Fashion Awards | Episode 3 | British Vogue

Published

on

By

At just 23 years old, Dutch model Imaan Hammam has already been modelling for a decade – discovered at the age of 13 in Amsterdam Central Station. Since then, she’s racked up 10 Vogue covers: including her debut for US Vogue’s September 2014 issue, alongside Joan Smalls, Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Arizona Muse, Edie Campbell, Fei Fei Sun, Vanessa Axente and Andreea Diaconu – dubbed “The Instagirls” at the time. She’s also fronted campaigns and walked the runway for the likes of Jean-Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Hermès, Proenza Schouler, Chanel and Valentino; working with fashion photographers from Steven Meisel to Annie Leibovitz, Mario Sorrenti and Inez and Vinoodh.

And when she’s not with her pre-runway/red-carpet glam squad – for these awards, it’s British-Afghan makeup artist Hila Karmand, and New-York based, German-born (with French-African roots) hair stylist, Hos Hounkpatin – Imaan campaigns for other girls who might want to follow her path someday. Born to an Egyptian father and Moroccan mother, she’s been vocal on issues surrounding diversity in fashion and in September this year, she became an ambassador for the non-profit She’s The First, whose mission is to eliminate gender inequality by empowering young girls through education.

Her best fashion advice? “Always wear shoes that are comfortable.” And, get the makeup artist to give you a massage and mask as standard: “We’re getting a neck mask – because, you know that neck gotta look good!”

To find out which head-to-toe Fenty look she chooses, and all of her getting-ready rituals, press play to go behind-the-scenes with model Imaan Hammam, ahead of The Fashion Awards 2019.
