China’s Housing Slump Is Much Worse Than Official Data Show

Published

on

There seems to be a discrepancy when it comes to data regarding China’s housing market. Official statistics show new-home prices have slipped just 2.4% from a high in August 2021, while those for existing homes have dropped 6%. But the picture emerging from property agents and private data providers is far more dire. Charlie Zhu reports on Bloomberg Television.

So nobody is going to talk about the insane housing price to income ratio in China?

It’s 32.5 if anyone was wondering, if anyone was wondering what is driving the Chinese real estate look no further, how is a person supposed to pay more than they earn on a 30 year mortgage? It’s way too high, I don’t know how much it will drop but definitely below 20.

Every year it is the same.
