"The border's going to have to come first."??? It should have been one of their top priorities from the beginning!! What they don't realize is that if we fail to fix and secure our borders asap (and we also continue down the path of destruction we've been on as a nation in other areas too), we will soon go the way of the Roman Empire or any other people of old who now cease to exist!

I do agree that Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan are important to help defend, especially so that it doesn't start a trend of other small countries being invaded and taken over like Russia is attempting with Ukraine. However, as shown by the disasterous outcomes of Iraq, Afganistan, etc., the US cannot and must not fight these battles alone without the support and backing of our international allies and friends.

Also, before the Ukraine and Israel conflicts blew up and the US intervened, the numbers of both our military troops and our weapons supply stock piles were low and in need of recruitment/replenishment, not to mention many of our weapons being old and outdated. Trump was attempting to turn this around but Biden stopped it like the border wall.

If a major war with China, Russia, Iran, or many other countries were to break out tomorrow, we world not fair all that well. Therefore, whether people like it or not, Trump's "America First/Make America Great Again" idea was quite accurate in the sense that as much as we would like to, we can't help another country until we have first helped ourselves.

If we have helped ourselves first and made sure we are on solid ground first before helping others, we are in a better position with firm footing and can often help pull them from the raging current and save them too. If we don't save ourselves first and attempt to help someone else who is drowning while we ourselves ate battling a raging current or even drowning ourselves, then the chances of both parties either going down together, or needing to be saved together, go way up.
