Claire McCaskill: ‘Walz is exactly what Vance pretends to be’
Claire McCaskill joins #MorningJoe following the debut of the Harris-Walz campaign at Tuesday’s rally in Philadelphia. McCaskill contrasts Walz with JD Vance, stating, “Walz is mac and cheese and a trip to the hardware store. Walz is exactly what JD Vance is pretending to be. He is of the heartland. He is not coastal elite.”
McCaskill predicts a “mic drop moment” in debates, especially on issues like IVF, where Vance voted against protections that helped Walz and his wife have their child Hope.

I'm still tryn to find out when she campaigned, did she say she didn't want to raise minimum wage nor get rid of the fillabuster? Cause if she did make that part of her campaigne, than u have to blame the voters.
That's just like a lady I once talked to who voted for trump, she said "I hope he dosent get rid of the ACA" I responded by saying "u know he wants to get rid of it". She responded by saying "what about people like who don't have anything".

The problem with conservative Democrats is that they fool their voters into thinking they are something they are not.
The majority of the country and her state want to strengthen voting and want the budget plan that the right wing is trying to undermine. It's about 1% of the economy spread over 10 years and these people are acting like it's a major event! It wouldn't seem like such a big deal if we hadn't neglected our infrastructure and hadn't fallen behind other advanced countries over the last 40 yrs.

PS.
The dueling thing with the 80 years old Commander in Chief is for dramatic effect.
I detest violence – but I like art. Don't want to waste the time of the Secret Service.
Having said that, President Biden, that's the 'feeling'; that you are not just letting everyone down that works for your success. But that your failure to take on the filibuster also feels like a huge betrayal to many of us.
While we are running out of time to fix the gerrymandering.
At the very least, it puts our House majority at risk. But it's more than that, it feels like you are trivializing this issue and that you don't really understand the history.
To defend the 1965 Voting Act for which so many have suffered beatings, torture and death, should be the grandest adventure and 🎖 honor of any President.
Remember the three civil rights workers murdered in Neshoba County, Mississippi?
Do you remember their names?
Because if you don't, you ought to look their story up. You are letting them down, too.
(Who is advising you on all this, Stephen Miller? )
And there is also a pretty good argument to be made that this stubbornness and fetish with 'bipartisanship' is actually making all of us less safe, putting our democratic future at risk.
They. Are. Going. To. Try. Again. They have a plan already, we have to assume that. You can't be that naive.
And the only way to vaccinate ourselves against this b.s., is to give these people an epic electoral spanking next midterms.
So the Cruzes and DeSantis of our politics once and for all get the memo that there is no future in even flirting with slave holder worldviews.
You need to move on this, Mr President. We CAN retain the House next year. But we can't help you if you don't at least fix the gerrymandering, the most immediate threat in this moment.
Please, help us help you have a legendary presidency that will echo in the memory of future generations, grateful that you set them up for success.
Thank you for the patience.
