   Imo he is the goat even tho his stats are not #1 O,A,T and he didn't get his ring that he deserved. It was his play style that makes him the most entertaining and enjoyable player to watch play. But for his size the ability (especially when he was in the middle of his career) His intelligence , passion , toughness taking a hit and laying a hit , his fiery personality (that got the best of some of the best corners safety's and LB that played in his carrier span Young and old) , his leadership and demand for the players around him to be the best they could be. That's what makes him the best player iv ever had the honor to watch play football. And he had THE greatest stiff arm out of any player to ever play. Iv never seen any other player at any position that was 5,8 and 3 quarter inches ,185 pounds soaking wet that could throw a stiff arm that was so absolutely devastating to other players that no other player found a way to beat it. He could literally pick up CB safety's even LBs that were right much bigger then himself pick them up off there feet with one arm and slam them flat on there back it looked like he benched pressed them lol and he keep running. Iv seen him do it his entire Carrier to players that were 5,8-6,3 and 185-250 pounds and most likely bigger guys as well. I hate he didn't win a SB I hope he becomes a couch and will get one tho I'm sure it won't be the same. But he is the reason I watched football and grew to love it. I remember cams rookie year Steve made a TD catch and jump way over top Patric Peterson he jumped so high that pat p had jumped and he's 6,1 I believe but he jumped and so did Steve and steves a$$ was in his face lol he came down with it to. But Steve will always be the best in my eyes he is a hof player. 89 is #1

    Steve Smith Sr. is my fav player of all time, I wanted him to go to the Pats so he could win a SB and solidify his place in history even though hes already done that I want him to get a ring and if he didnt sign right away with the ravens his next stop wouldve been the Pats. I am a Giants fan but his play is best fitted with a Bellick scheme he wouldve thrived there
