The “United States Government” actually does not control Texas, monetarily at least, we are a donor state, to the extreme. You’re welcome Mississippi. We have no income tax, tiny government, the smallest of every state, but a surplus of tens of billions this year. Y’all can all slide from woke to red, trans in bathrooms and whatever other bullshit y’all come up with (Portland), but the real shit, the border, the military, the taxes funding this country, the largest producer of oil in the WORLD, happens in Texas.
