Why Ukraine Wants This High-Tech American Rocket Launcher
Ukraine continues to request Western assistance to fend off Russian aggression, and the precise rockets of the U.S.-made HIMARS weapon system are in high demand. Who makes this lethal rocket launcher and why is it so effective?
Artillery has quickly become the most important weapon in Ukraine’s war with Russia.
Ukrainian forces have begun to use newer Western artillery, like the M777 Howitzer, in the battlefield. But a different kind of weapon has had a bigger impact. The American-made High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, aka HIMARS, has been a major high-tech upgrade for Ukraine’s military.
“The introduction of the HIMARS rocket artillery to Ukraine has been significant,” said George Barros, a geospatial analyst at the Institute for the Study of War. “That has changed the battlefield quite a lot. And it really goes to show that Western aid to Ukraine is not just paper pushing or symbolic.”
Ukrainian forces claimed to have already used the HIMARS to take out ammunition dumps, command posts and other high-value targets. Providing this high-tech system could help Ukraine blunt Russian advances and change the direction of the conflict.
“What the United States needs to do is to have a strategy to bring this war to an early end,” said George Beebe, director of grand strategy at the Quincy Institute. “That means not only convincing the Russians that they can’t win on the battlefield but also showing them that should they make concessions at the negotiating table.”

The only things to negotiate are Putin and his high level teams method of execution, Russia’s unconditional surrender and complete demilitarization. Sanctions on Russia for 500 years. Economic starvation of Russia. Zero negotiation beyond that. American fantasy of ending the war

every war is a horror. But, the luck in all that disaster is that you have Russia on the other side, not NATO(USA) and the west… otherwise you would know what real destruction and death are. When NATO(USA) bombed my country, in less than 3 months, they caused more than 10 times more damage and civilian deaths than Russia did to you in almost a whole year. It's not that the Russians can't totally destroy you, but they are much more humane and humane than the West will ever be. It's a parody, that even now, you are being harmed less by Russian bombs than by Western aid… Remember, this is a war between the West and Russia, and all of it is over the backs of you Ukrainians. how they just screwed you!! if the west had not "helped" you, everything would have been over a long time ago and everything would be back to normal. it suits someone here that all this crap lasts as long as possible and everyone knows who has benefited from this tragedy. it's neither Russia nor Ukraine..it's not the EU either. the only real benefit is the USA, which wants to maintain world domination. and that is a fact. do not forget, America is a capitalistic state, and they do not have friends, only business partners. Honestly, I don't think there is any question that Ukraine would be winning this war whether the US government was supplying them with weapons or not. Other than the first few weeks where Ukraine was somewhat caught off guard, they've been absolutely destroying the Russians.

I think someone should tell Mr George Beebe that it's not Ukrainians who are "crossing the red line" daily, but Russia with its daily ballistic & cruise missile attacks on CIVILIAN infrastructure & even residential buildings FAR away from the frontline.. Russia is using terrorist methods, but Mr Beebe think's it's Ukraine who has to be "careful".. This type of mentality has allowed Putin to commit atrocities & war crimes without consequences.. NATO should've made it clear since the beginning that if Putin decides to escalate this conflict beyond attacking military targets, Ukraine will be provided with exact same capability.. so every time Kremlin sends missiles & drones into Kyiv & other cities only to destroy civilian infrastructure, Ukraine will send exact amount of missiles into Moscow & other Russian cities.. there should be a tit-for-tat response, otherwise Russians will continue attacking civilian targets without ANY fear of repercussions.. but if Muscovites would have to live under same conditions as Ukrainian civilians (with no electricity, no heating, constant fear of their home being destroyed, etc..), then perhaps Russian citizens themselves would "retire" Putin & his loyalists, and stop this war..
