AI’s Next Race: Cost, Control, and Compute
The AI race is shifting from who has the biggest model to who can run, control and deploy AI most effectively.
Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas joins to discuss the company’s new orchestrator model, why he’s building on open-source Chinese AI, and his argument that “token value per watt” may decide the next phase of competition.
Then, Benchmark general partner Peter Fenton and Ollama CEO Jeff Morgan discuss the rise of open models, why enterprises are increasingly running models they can download and control, and what Ollama’s growth says about where the AI ecosystem is heading.
Together, the conversations get at one big question: in AI’s next race, will the winners be defined less by model access and more by cost, control and compute?

How Warsh’s Task Forces Will Reshape The Federal Reserve
Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh is floating major revisions to the central bank’s approach to assets, productivity, data, inflation and public communications. To achieve this, Warsh has created 5 “task forces” while soliciting interest from individuals outside of the Fed. This presents an opportunity for a small unelected group to influence the broader U.S. economy and value of U.S. dollars circulating globally. CNBC’s Matt Peterson reports.

The problem of competition between Apple & Samsung or PC computer companies are making their products thinner and thinner and increasing more power to their thinner smaller batteries can cause fire at any moment. Apple can't make a long last smaller thinner battery for 4k screen for 4k MacBook Pro because Apple want to make it very thin & removing more ports out for making smaller size laptop. 4k screen computer consumes a lot of power. 😎 😎

Apple computers look great I own macbook pro mid 2015 and I'm happy with it, but graphics efficiency isn't so great, sometimes mac seems like there's lack of power, I feel like being light years behind other PC owners when they have 6th generation processor (for few mounths 7th generation) now I'm on 5th intel generation and now apple suddenly skip to skylake… I feel like I made a mistake buying mac 1 year ago, I could get way cheaper PC with better specs… even If I'd like to sell my mac and buy the newest one, I could not find anyone who want to buy it because processor in this machine is few years old, it's just stupid (Haswell introduced in 2013), anyways there's nothing perfect with apple now… I have to use Yosemite because newer systems are so stupid, there's nothing working just like I want to, apps crashes or don't run at all. I'm crazy when I turn on mac on other than default resolution because of screen jumping, apple doesn't care… The only pros for me now is it's a pleasure using macbook pro because of it's look

Apple sales is slowing because windows is getting better than apple and it works faster, microsoft office works better than in mac. Those are some basic reason why people kinda not buying macbook too. Mac osx works slower than windows 10 although its alot stable. Although i like browsing in mac book pro but like one note , word, ppt take long time to open. which is quite disappointing.

Why was every computer they showed at the beginning of the report video of the MacBook, and not the old version of the MacBook Pro???? That seems illogical.

The reason why iPad has decreased in sales is because iOS is terrible for a PC replacement IMO. This is coming from a person that's been a Mac User since 2002. I'd much rather buy a MacBook than a iPad since I already have an iPhone. My iPad mini is useless as a productive solution unless I need to play sleep music for my newborn or give it to my 9 yo son to play games.
