Joe Biden formally announces 2020 run for president
After months of deliberation, former Vice President Joe Biden has announced his decision to run for president for a third time, answering one of the biggest outstanding questions about the makeup of the 2020 race. “The core values of this nation … our standing in the world… our very democracy … everything that has made America — America — is at stake. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States,” Biden tweeted, along with the campaign video. Biden will hold his first official event in Pittsburgh. followed by a swing through early voting states like Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

And now he's our President. After a long year, darkness caused by the pandemic and violence and an economic downturn, I can breathe again! I was just finishing my sophomore year of college, and I was so scared of what was happening last year, I ran away from the television from The Orange One and went straight to Joe on YouTube and only watched the television when Joe came on. Joe is now my favorite President and he not only became role model for our nation, but a role model for me personally as well. When I was done with classes or when I was done watching the news, or when I needed a break from everything in the world, I would just go on to YouTube, and find Joe and just listen to him speaking to help calm me down during the pandemic even before and after I got the vaccine. I still do that to this day when I need a break from the news. The Lord sent Joe to us and me at the right time. I pray that I will meet him very soon. He is the man that we need and I'm glad that I voted for him.
