Video shows Chicago police shooting unarmed 13-year-old
An investigation is underway after a 13-year-old boy was shot by a Chicago Police officer. The boy’s lawyers and witnesses contend his hands were up when police opened fire while the lawyer for the officer says he made a split-second decision to fire his weapon believing there was a threat. I'm just going to make a simple statement. Somebody running away from you is not a threat. Is it officers policy to chase after everything that runs from them? When somebody runs they're immediately considered armed and dangerous. The fact is that probably scared and harmless. I say we push for a new police policy, if something runs from follow it from a distance until it stops running.

He had a good reason to run. They shot him with his hands up, surrendering. This cop is a danger to anybody around him. Their body cams should be on 24 7 and broadcast live for all to see. That would do more than any training, disciplining, or any thing else they could do.

Its hard to shoot at someone running away. He was close enough to discharge his taser. Especially since their were gas pumps there. He could have killed himself and his partner. Then to drag him like a rag doll making his injury worse. Smfh

Police dont have to wait for you to start killing them before they subdue a threat.
