OpenAI found additional incidents of AI models acting deceptively and taking unsanctioned actions during training, the company announced Wednesday. It’s also introducing a new process for the company to publicly report such instances.
Under the new system, OpenAI will share updates on concerning AI behavior more frequently instead of waiting to bundle multiple instances into one report. The company said it wants to share more information about troubling AI behavior in the absence of an industry-wide standard.

They thought it was seven days ago but it was one day ago. That's how fast it spread because of course nobody thought that the core would have exploded because before Chernobyl that wasn't seen as scientifically possible

I was a college student running around Europe right after this. We really had no idea. I remember being in Berlin and seeing tons of vegetables dumped against the Berlin Wall. It was all deemed unsafe to eat. That was my first inkling that this might actually be really bad. Knowing what we know now, I look back at the moment and I'm just terrified.

CHERnobyl
If I could turn back time
If those borham rods had gone in the correct way
If that bastard AZ button had not been pressed at all
George Micheal may not have become gay
I don't know why Moscow ordered the test like they did
It caused an explosion that blew off a 1000 ton lid
It gave a suntan that cost some folks their lives
It even turned some ugly woman into beautiful wives
I really wanted to see the test correctly through
I even said let's run it on reactor number two
But they insisted reactor 4
It meant an exposed core
Oh the counter said 3 .2
It's higher than that in Crewe

I was just 6 years old and remembered this day. our neighbor came over and told mom about the news, we kids were outside playing. I remember my moms reaction… she and the neighbor were very calm about it and took us kids in side. I think ppl were feeling hopeless and just left it up to God. Now it's been 37 years and I thank God it didn't affect us in any huge way.

It’s just a blown tank, the radiation is no worse than a chest x-ray. No need for panic, the Soviets only build the finest nuclear reactors. This will all be fixed up in a day or two
