    I hope that wasn't real.

    Help me out….the guy behind Colbert…..is that Bill O'Reillys nephew or Clark Kent??

    Gosh he's brilliant at this. Funny how many people in the background seem so disinclined to laugh.

    @PJTrpster That money wouldn't have been spent feeding people or paying teachers anyway. Our Government would find something else to spend it on, something that doesn't matter. And Colbert makes many fine points, does he not? His speech was very insightful, and might finally make congress realize that their petty infighting has no place in politics. Or, at the very least, help them reach that conclusion (if they ever do.)

    LOL, look at that stiff behind him. Grow a sense of humor nerd!

    @PJTrpster Wasted money? No, he used his celebrity to address a serious issue to millions of Americans, including yourself, that wouldn't have acknowledged the issue otherwise. Good job Colbert!

    Just note. Colbert's testimony cost all of us, the U.S. Taxpaers $125,000.00 PER HOUR.

    Do you think this was a good use of your money? I sure don't! $125K can feed a lot of people, buy a lot of school supplies, employ a few teachers, a few cops, ……….you get my point.

    IT WAS ANOTHER FREAKING WASTE OF OUR MONEY!

    @irishmaryoh1 "….Bringing in Colbert — in character! — to talk immigration strikes me as beyond idiotic."

    i don't know what you mean. what do you think makes colbert? it's his character as "colbert"! you think people wouldn't expect him not to be in character? it's a serious topic and look at how being serious has helped put attention to this subject. close to no attention compared to colbert's approach.

    he's has gotten our attention. look at how many comments there are!!!

    Colbert is hilarious, but I wouldn't vote for a Catholic.

    @Observer585 You are a prime example of those who believe they are the all high and mighty. Though very subtle, and comedic in nature, what he says actually shows how stupid things have gotten in this country. Though with someone so single minded in thought wouldn't understand what he is saying, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Read between the lines. Think more deeply on what he is saying, and you will see that their is a lot more there than perhaps you may think. Well said by Stephen.

    @Observer585 Hard to argue with 4:15 thru 4:40 though… unless you live your WHOLE life with blinders on — Oh and speaking of gene pool…. this coming from someone who is likely to vote for Palin, O'Donnell, Angle ro Rand! Haha! Credibilty FAIL!

  15. @Observer585

    December 24, 2023 at 7:57 pm

    Goes to show how this phony bombs without an audience full of mindless shills who will laugh at anything from farts to nut shots. Doesn't he remind you of that nasty person at school who gets off on belittling other people? If you think what he had to say was clever, incisive or worthy of anything more than an embarrassed chuckle, please accept my sympathy for your loss in the gene pool lottery.

    This was bad manners without a hint of anything clever.

    @qunniq At least Elmo’s testimony was on music education for kids. There aren’t raging passions on both sides of the music education issue. Bringing in Colbert — in character! — to talk immigration strikes me as beyond idiotic.

    Is there a full video of the q and a session?

  20. @npspears

    December 24, 2023 at 7:57 pm

    they don't do justice by not showing the entire video, watch the full testimony and then start judging

    December 24, 2023 at 7:57 pm

    @FORMETOKNOWONLY

    What??? CORPORATE FARMERS AND ILLEGAL MEXICANS ARE "middle class?"

    @irishmaryoh1

    FOOL WHO HAD ELMO TESTIFY INFRONT OF CONGRESS?

  23. @Ratbas

    December 24, 2023 at 7:57 pm

    Way better than Elmo.

    December 24, 2023 at 7:57 pm

    THE DEMS PROVE THAT CONGRESS IS A "JOKE". House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she thought it would be a great idea for the Comedy Central star to give his “expert” testimony. “Of course I think it’s appropriate,” she said. “He’s an American. He can bring attention to an important issue. I think it’s great.”

    Thanks Nancy! I CAN'T WAIT 'TIL NOVEMBER!
