Run, Hide, Fight
We have trained a generation of people how to think about, respond to, and survive a mass shooting, including children. Educators and law enforcement officials have developed curricula for schools to help teachers and students survive a shooting. The foundation for this teaching comes in large part from the work of Katherine Schweit (https://www.katherineschweit.com/) . She is a former FBI Agent, author of the book, “Stop the Killing: How to End the Mass Shooting Crisis,” and co-host of the podcast Stop the Killing (https://www.katherineschweit.com/podcast) . At the time of the Sandy Hook shooting she realized that training and education would be key in preventing more deaths. She developed the active shooter training program for the FBI. Its mantra of “Run, Hide, Fight” is now an essential element in mass shooting education. Audie talks with Katherine about how she came to this work, and what it’s like to do it in the midst of political paralysis.

Ted Cruz tried to pass YET AGAIN TODAY a bill to increase security on all school campuses and the DEMOCRATS VOTED NO!! Why? Because it was NEVER about protecting the schools its about getting the guns. The tiktok bill goes after our first amendment, and now the democrats want a to go after our second amendment. If you are a Democrat you are not exempt from the effects if they get what they want, only the rich are because they will still have freedom of speech, they will still have armed private security. Look at Chicago, they want that for the rest of us…..don't let them fool you into doing this "for your safety", look back in history those words were spoken before many horrible acts done by governments.

Until Congress and state legislatures realize that the high magazine capacity rapid fire weapons are weapons of war and not just hobby toys, the horror will continue. Civilians are not permitted to own mortars, bazookas, and other such small weapons of war. How can anyone sensible person not see these civilian owned assault weapons for what they are? Unfortunately we mostly do not know who the next mass shooter until the person actually does it. Arming everyone and hardening schools, workplaces, and entertainment venues is simply another program for failure that will only enrich consultants and arms manufacturers.

The things your retired agent teaches are important, but to reduce the casualties you need to remove the weapon. No bullets (guns) mean fewer death and injuries. A smaller person can defend themselves from a attacker with a knife or club with a kindergartner's chair.
I'm afraid that the number of nuts running around loose who want to spill blood is only going to increase. We keep making more people, and the rat race is going worse. Where nuts go off seems to change over time. When I was younger (50 to 60 years ago), mass shooting were called going postal because the first widely known attacks were done be postal workers. Am I wrong, or has there been an increase in these attacks since Covid?
Just look at the other comments on you post. None of them seem to have anything to do with the problem at hand.

He Who Starts a War – Loses
Speaking about the Russia-Ukraine war, NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently told a German weekly newspaper, “We must prepare for the fact that it could take years.” As I have said several times, this war is not like any war before; it is a scrutiny on a new level, a precursor of more scrutinies to come. This scrutiny may have started with Russia and Ukraine, but it will not end there; it will encompass all of Europe, and eventually all of humanity. These scrutinies will drive human society to rebuild itself in a way that helps us achieve life’s essence and purpose.
The current bafflement and indecision that has overcome us is not negative. It is a mandatory state that precedes any progress. There have always been struggles over who will rule—which party or which leader or which ideology. The reflections imposed on us today impel us to determine how we want to relate to our society, to our country, and to humanity, and what will advance us to achieve the state of completion and perfection.
Although at the moment, the struggles are between individuals who are leaders of their countries, people already see that this is not the correct way for humanity to be, at least not in terms of the leaders’ motivations. When leaders’ decisions are driven by considerations of the benefit of the public rather than their own benefit, their decisions will be correct, they will succeed, and they will win everyone’s support. This, by the way, does not pertain to one specific leader but is true of all leaders, as this will be the basic tenet of leadership in the future.
The mutual dependence that seems to burden us today, causing shipment delays, food and energy shortages, and spreading viruses around the world, is really the flip-side of our mutual responsibility. When we learn the message of interconnectedness that it teaches us, we will find that our connections do not hurt, but allow us to live more comfortably and easily, and that our mutual dependence is an invitation to connect our hearts and not only our economies.
The reason that we currently feel as though the world is in crisis is that we are unwilling to accept our interdependence. In the struggle between forced interdependence and reluctance to play by its rule, we are causing everything to shut down. However, if we embrace connection rather than reject it, we will discover its countless benefits compared to having to rely only on ourselves.
We are living through a very special time in history. A pivotal shift is happening, a spiritual transformation. Gradually, we are learning to perceive ourselves not only as individuals, but also as parts of a system that maintain a symbiotic relationship with it: We nourish the system, and the system nourishes us.
Until today, we perceived ourselves as separate beings. This put us in constant struggles against every one and every thing. The survival of the fittest epitomized our attitude towards life.
In the new perception awakening within us, our attitude will change to what anthropologist Brian Hare and research scientist Vanessa Woods refer to as “the survival of the friendliest.” In this approach, those who feel connected to others and act with everyone’s benefit in mind will prosper, and those who cling to the attitude of “each man for himself” will find themselves defeated by life.
Soon, and I hope it will come without too much pain, humanity will come to complete despair. We will feel that we are suffering blows every step of the way, and at every point in our development. When we come to this, people will agree to connect as a last resort. At that point, I really hope that humanity will begin to contemplate how to rise above the ego because otherwise, it will inflict unbearable suffering on all of us.
In the era that is now dawning, we will not be able to impose decisions on others. We will not be able to oppress or force each other into any resolutions that they will not want to make of their own volition. Person against person, country against country, regime against regime, no one will be able to impose one’s views on the other. In the new era, he who starts a war—loses. Rather, everything will be done with connection and reciprocity

The whole point of mass immigration in western nations is to culturally intertwine America with foreign wars. As a white man I actually loathe the white men doing these peoples bidding. Remember that 1400 yr war? Well now it's culturally your war to be involved in. They thought they were going to dupe us into caring about Ukraine because they happen to be white. Get it yet? The very ppl claiming to be about diversity are the ones exploiting race for nefarious reasons. You should be thankful of the people trying to resist them. Murder is against the law kids, it's a crime! In some states it's a capitol crime, meaning the government will kill the murderer. In 2022 Chicago had 695 fine folks murdered, most were black democrat folks killed by other not so fine black democrat folks. Now in addition to those not so nice murderers we have democrat she/he that had fried her/his brains on drugs and alcohol. Please note, none of this murderers belong to the NRA and not one of them is a Tea Party Patriot. Each and every one of them voted for Joe, Hillary and Barry. I used to trust CNN. Looking through your videos on your channel clearly shows a narrative that you have chosen. It is heartbreaking that you don't report on news like you used to, you have become a one-sided opinion entertainment channel that is somewhat laughable. Please look into actual issues like Saudi moving away from trading in USD and other serious issues.
