My mother was Hungarian. Instead of garlic she used horseradish. She would make a cream sauce using horseradish cheese. It was amazing with smoked horseradish cheese.

Thank You Chef Symon. Started cooking/cheffing in 1988. I hated that we leave the tails on. Why do we make the person/customers dig through there food to peel the tail off the shrimp to eat a meal. They should be able to eat it and enjoy it, not have to handle the food after cooked and serve to them. Especially in a restaurant.

What you have done during the quarantine is absolutely brilliant as a marketing and public relations consultant this is a study in effectiveness. If you are interested in learning more about why I think that message me on Facebook and keep going

So, it looks like you cooked the 16/20 shrimp in about 2 1/2 minutes. How long for larger shrimp?

Take it from someone with deadly allergies, if a food or drink causes your mouth to itch, you have a deep allergy which could get worse the older you get. Be careful.

I use greens onions and some parsley, and no wine but a little pasta water to thin if needed. I use fresh grated Parmesan or Romano. My family likes it this way and I cook what they like.

Why was your salt in a box? Is that a special salt or just regular salt dumped into a box? Is the box special? Or can you use any box?

sometimes I make this just as you did, only no protein, this is my go to pasta dis, yesterday we had this with shrimp, love that you make this just like I do, makes me confident, my husband love that I put a lot of garlic in it too, sliced thinly too, and he preps the shrimp, it’s so good

Thank you Michael. I hate seeing people leave the tail on shrimp. I have often wondered if chefs are just too lazy to remove them. I have enjoyed your videos so much. I watch the cooking channel and food network all the time. One of my favorite shows is Iron Chef America. I still would like to know how one becomes an iron chef. Love from Texas.

super super unhealthy meal. macro nutrients as usual. a new born baby could make this. all you need is pasta and loads of butter, salt and olive oil and anything under the sun would taste great.

Hey, this looks interesting. I have loved scampi ever since I first tried it, in a fine restaurant, back in downtown Richmond, Virginia, in the warm months of 1975-1976, when I was nine, going on ten!! The shrimp they used in that meal were BIG!!!

  44. @debbietrudeau5866

    December 25, 2023 at 1:22 am

I'm like Liz in that I LOVE lemon but also much like Chef Symon as I use chili flakes in near everything I cook!! I would have topped that dish with another squeeze of lemon juice and a twist of a lemon slice!! No cheese!! I'm Nordic in heritage but Italian is my food love and in Little Italy here at home you DO get yelled at if you try to "ruin" their meals that they just "made for you with LOVE" 🙄🤣. On another note….I also really enjoy Greek food and I'd enjoy seeing Chef Symon make Kafta….I love that dish with a nice Fatoush salad!! I know ingredients are hard to come by but I've had Kafta made with ground beef, ground pork and once with ground lamb which is the "proper" meat I believe. Just a suggestion

I think Food Network should keep this as part of their mix even after things are loosened up. It is a great format.
