Since when do we allow ruthless dictatorships to dictate what we can and cannot see here. Last I checked we are protected by the first amendment here. Shame on Hollywood for giving in and allowing North Korea to impose their censorship here.

Isn't he a dictator and communist? By causing fear. He is also controlling America in a way. Think About it. Stop showing coverage trying to scare people. It's getting old.

Read between the lines it is one of two reasons why the film is not being released.
!. The hackers have information that Sony executives don't want to get out into public. The hackers proved they had access by releasing their e-mails but not the real bad ones.2. Most likely the reason is HUGE publicity.

  14. @LinkThatLove

    December 26, 2023 at 4:23 pm

So now all of sudden Hollywould, that's not a typo, is on the side of we should fight against tyranny not we should talk and negotiate and find out about N. Korea's feelings?… So because this affects their lives now they are gung ho about fighting and possibly going to war… What a bunch of selfish assholes. Would Hollywould apply the same to Cuba and fidel castro?… Shut up Hollywould and stick to just making crappy movies with your continuous stereotyping of asians, hispanics, muslims, and every other minority that is not black.

Here is a question for you to ponder:  Would Sony Pictures produce a major film showing an attempt to assassinate President Xi Jinping of China?  NOT LIKELY, because China's vast sweatshops produce 80% of the goods in our stores, including the I-phone/I-pad in your hand……And, China has sufficient nuclear weapons to ignite all major US west coast cities, including Hollywood.

How about Sony producing a picture showing the assasination of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia?  No, because our most powerful elites are "under the sheets" with Saudi Royalty to push a global agenda of hegemony and profit.

The point here is that Sony produced a film depicting an assassination mission against a sitting leader of a sovereign state, but they carefully chose a state that they believed could not retaliate.

    Let's invert the scenario:

How do you think the US government would respond if a Russian studio produced a film depicting the assassination of our leader?  Folks like John McCain would be foaming at the mouth in a NEOCON blood cry against Russia, on every US network!

Does Sony have free speech rights?  Yes, within the bounds of libel and slander laws.  But given the tense and deteriorating relationships among nations in east Asia, and the fact that North Korea has a massive conventional army poised above the border of South Korea, it showed extremely poor judgment.

Swan predicts Trump’s ‘free & fair elections’ speech announcement

Published

on

By

President Donald Trump plans to use part of a primetime speech Thursday to discuss new findings about the security of American elections, among other topics — setting up yet another high-profile opportunity for the president to dispute the results of the 2020 election he lost. Speaking in the Oval Office two days ahead of the planned address, Trump affirmed the speech would focus on elections and a “couple of other things.”

Officials said the speech is still being finalized, but Trump was expected to discuss several topics. He’s still deeply mired in his conflict with Iran, with nightly strikes in the country as he seeks a path to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Even as that war appears to be restarting, however, Trump framed the elections portion of his Thursday speech as the centerpiece.
