This is over five years ago but This is pissed me off don’t fuck with Jenna marbles. I just found her channel recently and it’s an escape somewhere that I can have a good time and just forget about the stuff around me she makes me laugh and so does julien her videos are not about nothing they are about connecting with other people and looking for the good in life. Jenna is very smart and is a good person who includes a lot of insightful commentary, skillfully woven into her videos. This started with her first viral video which made wry and compelling observations about gender dynamics in society and superficiality of judging people based on their appearances. There is subtext to everything she does. She holds multiple degrees – including a masters degree from a prestigious university – and it shows in how she approaches her platform as a content creator. The report could have touched on any number of these elements to Jenna and her content. Yet instead, this segment was just regressive, took cheap shots, and missed the point altogether. Unlike Jenna, who embeds intellect and wit into her entertaining and fun content, this piece just falls flat. Its central thesis – that Jenna and the internet are "ridiculous" – is disingenuous, untrue and in both poor taste and bad faith. Okay, I've had enough of this. I've said my piece. I'm going back to my Gabbie Hanna playlist – another Youtuber who is majorly talented, smart and entertaining.
