Why Data Center Pushback Is a Unique Form of NIMBYism
Unlike solar farms or housing projects, data centers face a unique challenge: people don’t just oppose them in their own backyards—they question if we need them at all. On Odd Lots, Jasmine Sun tells Joe Weisenthal and Tracy Alloway why the AI industry and policymakers have failed to make a compelling case for the AI buildout, leading to widespread anxiety over resource usage.

I have always been fascinated by investing, but without adequate knowledge on the right thing to do, I find it difficult to start. I politely ask, what’s the best sector to invest in?

Jesus, I have lived through the 'financial crisis ' so many times . Sheesh , but when I was young my crisis was real , so I now have a very broad spread, property, gold, mutuals, commodities , crypto , and cash (different currencies ) I think the best way for amateurs (out of the inside 'know') build a waterbed … press down here – goes up there .. in different parts the world.

During downturn markets, just a few investors acquire equities at a bargain. During a raging bull market, all other investors purchase at a premium. Investors who purchase during weak markets have three characteristics: company knowledge, conviction, and a long-term outlook.

The wisest thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the govt. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in Gold, Silver and digital currencies (BTC,ETH…)

The FED is literally going to drive us into a fucking depression. Raising rates at 0.50% per FOMC meeting should be illegal. The system cannot handle rate increases at that rate.

Love the intensity of the background music 🎵. It does adds the sense of urgency to the picture. It worked!! Someone finally bought the dip and the market didn’t end up red. Will the fed save the market? Or watch inflation run even hotter 🥵? It’s intense.

1929 REPEATING ITSELF. IT'S DOWNHILL FROM HERE.
The good old days of cheap Fed money through QE are over. Before buying any stock make sure the Price to Earning PE is less than FOUR !?! The 99% of S&P500 are living on borrowed time and money with very high or no PE even after the mini crash !
Plus the Fed can't save the USA stock exchange because it's a BLACK HOLE created by fiat $ currency and needs to be corrected only by hiking interest rates to double digits.
