Only one is banned by China, the USA is already confused, what if Apple, Nvidia, AMD, Intel are also banned. Rare minerals will be limited and prices will be increased by China, soon TSMC chip products in the USA will definitely be banned, it will be a headache for the US. China is amazing, it was banned by the Anglo Saxons plus Japan and South Korea remained strong.

    2019
US ban Huawei because of national security risk
    Huawei: we deny the claim
    China: …..
Other countries: there is no evidence
US still force its allies and other countries to ban Huawei anyway
Allies: ok.. we follow US even with no evidence

    2019-2023
US ban hundreds.. even thousands of Chinese companies under the same pretext
    China:………..

    2023
China ban micron because of national security risk
Micron : (no action, no denial, no response at all)
US: THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!! THIS IS A BULLY AGAINST A PRIVATE COMPANY!!! CHINA IS NOT TRANSPARENT!! WE MUST RETALIATE WITH FURTHER SANCTIONS!!!!!

    Big question:
Why does U.S. government give the response first before Micron give any official response, if any? Isn't this is a problem more for Micron than it is for U.S. government, especially when Micron is not government owned. Very very suspicious indeed.

Btw China has only taken its first jab to US, but it looks like U.S. has taken 1000x more damage than China.

Chinese semiconductor industry cannot compete with US's industry in terms of business advantages. Before US's chip war on China, even Chinese OEMs tended to use more expensive American chips to build their products. But big THANKS to American sanctions, domestic supply chain of China can finally get the chance to breath, OEMs of China have no choice to use only domestic produced chips in their products. Once the replacement of USA's tech is completed, that will be lots of Micron cases coming on the way.

"China banned Micron Technology from selling memory chips to key domestic industries, saying the US memory chipmaker had failed its network security review and posed a national security risk"
About time China gives the US the same medicine, "US memory chipmaker had failed its network security review and posed a national security risk" then banning Micron Tech.

A good father corrects the son he loves. As long as we do not remove from our midst: the foul mouth, idolatry, injustice, in other words, as long as we continue to like to see and hear immorality and keep encouraging malice, we place our trust in possessions and saints created by men, and we do not return the we say they belong to God, for the help of the helpless, the associates and slaves of the devil, will be at our door. Let us practice this righteousness, and then cry out to God. Let us know that all things work together for good to those who love God. Even in the midst of so much affront, let us continue to obey God. While we are being corrected to inherit heaven, this caste that wants to harm us will end up working on our behalf

All such moves hurt both sides. But the China ban on Micron has close to zero negative impact on China. Many of the actiions taken by the US however have hurt US chip companies a lot, losing > 1T in market cap. The US imposes sanctions, then let US companies petition for a waiver. Sort of , we'll provide some band aids if we shoot ourselves in the foot. The Chinese approach seems to take aim before pulling the trigger. But this will get much worse.
