One can only wonder why someone with the high intellect of Lawrence O'Donnell, would want to lend himself to a criminal organization like the Democrat Party that uses the intelligence of others to corrupt the people they are supposed to represent and protect:

That was beautiful. Every speech you give is so well written and I’m glad she influenced your life. You wouldn’t be where you are influencing our lives otherwise. I’m sorry for your loss. How you’re able to hold it together long enough for this tribute is commendable.

When I lived in NYC (1981-88), I wrote a letter to both senators at that time, Moynihan and d'Amato (I don't remember about what). At that time, I was a liberal Democrat (now I'm a moderate independent in CA). d'Amato, the Republican, answered my letter with an individual response. Moynihan never responded.

Sublime. Go Raibh Maith Agat, Lawrence. Whenever the Hannity's, O'Reilly's, etc., tempt me toward shame in my heritage, "suddenly I think on thee…"
My father and Pat had a pet saying, "To be Irish is to be born with the knowledge that the world will break your heart." My dad added, "before you're 40."
Pat Moynihan was 36, and I was 20, in November, 1963, when that happened to both of us. I was a junior at Catholic University, and traveled from campus,
down North Capital Street, standing in line for 6 hours, to pass the President's coffin in the Rotunda at about 3 AM. Sixty years on, the sight of the Capital
dome over your shoulder, silhouetted against a black sky, is still a stab.
I didn't know of Liz Brennan Moynihan's labors in service to Pat's career and, ultimately, to my country. Her life should be celebrated. Thank you again.

Trump’s DOJ subpoenas NYT journalists over Air Force One story

Published

The Trump administration issued subpoenas on Friday to several journalists for The New York Times, after the paper reported on security concerns involving President Trump’s new Qatari-donated Air Force One. In some cases, the subpoenas were delivered by federal agents who showed up at reporters’ homes. The subpoenas seek to force the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday, and are an extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations. NYT Investigative reporter Michael Schmidt joins Morning Joe with more on this developing story.
