Russia Says Test of New Sarmat ICBM ‘Successful’

Published

on

Russia’s Defense Ministry said it successfully performed the first test of a new intercontinental ballistic missile on Wednesday from the Plesetsk launch facility in Northern Russia. President Vladimir Putin said the weapon would make the West “think twice” before harboring any aggressive intentions against Russia.

    We live in exciting times!
Israel's government stubbornly forcing ahead towards their fantasy of realizing a Greater Israel.
The Gaza strip conflict on the brink of becoming a regional war.
A weak POTUS flanked by a hawkish military command, combined with Russia running out of conventional weapons and the Chinese army rivaling the US when it comes to the number of operational ICBMs.
The world is slowly but surely moving towards a large scale nuclear war where the earth will be reduced to a dust ball, ensuring that photosynthesis will be halted for at least 2 to 3 years.
Ending with a positive note: peace on earth will be guaranteed for multiple decades, maybe even centuries after this large scale nuclear war.

I still don't see the need for a nuclear powered ballistic missile. There is a reason the vast majority of the shuttle flights were classified DOD missions. Don't think there is not a defense for a suborbital object already in orbit. There are some truly amazing platforms in orbit.

And if we cannot end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity, for in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. Here are the main points to gather from this: It means nothing in the scheme of things. The equivalent of someone saying they'll shoot you in the head with a .50 caliber bullet vs a .45 bullet. Both can kill you, so 'size' is irrelevant. Also, Russia's ICBMs have for decades been "oversized" because their accuracy was quite terrible. Mutually Assured Destruction exists. Not really that big of a deal. The USA's Trident II sub-launched missiles weigh 130,000 pounds each, are about 45 feet long and nearly 7 feet in diameter. They can carry up to 12 W88 475 kiloton warheads, 14 100 kiloton W76 warheads or 14 W76-1 90 kiloton warheads. They are accurate to within 100 meters, have a range exceeding 7,500 miles (we keep the true distance classified for a reason because it is much more) and their re-entry speed is roughly 18,000mph/Mach 24 in the terminal phase. Which, let me remind all of you, Russia cannot stop them. We have 450 land-based Minuteman III missiles with single warheads on them, each either 300 kilotons or 475 kilotons. Accurate to within 800 feet. These also serve as cannon fodder because Russia has no choice but to target them and waste nearly 25% of their warheads before they launch. Of course they'll be launched before Russia's missiles could hit them, however. We have air-launched nuclear cruise missiles, as well…plus the world's best stealth fighters and bombers that would arrive in Russia for a second wave of bringing hell directly to their homeland. The USA's SM-3 missile knocked down an old spy satellite out of low-earth orbit on the first launch. Operation Burnt Frost. It's not the speed that the object is traveling, it's how accurate your missile is to kill it. These are on ships worldwide, by the way. Russia is unable to stop 1,500+ warheads coming in. They can't even intercept 1 of them. So again, the point is moot. There are what, 1,300 TOTAL cities in the entirety of Russia? 20,000 in the USA. Russia is often-quoted as having '6,000' warheads. They have about 1/3rd of that. The other 1/3rd are inactive and would require work to make them active and the other 1/3rd are decommissioned/awaiting decommissioning. Now let's talk about the upkeep of 2,000+ warheads on Russia's side vs the USA side. We spend what, 5 times or more than what Russia does to keep up the US nuclear arsenal on a yearly basis? That's for a bit less warheads than Russia has, so that tells you that Russia is not keeping theirs maintained properly. One of Russia's politicians described their warhead stockpile as closer to nuclear waste a while back, if I remember correctly. I'm sure I could find the link. A lot of their ICBMs are likely in such disrepair that they may not work at all. Just like their military equipment where they weren't even rotating tires and moving vehicles regularly and let the tires rot off from their vehicles, coming off as soon as they started using them in Ukraine. The same is true for a lot of their aircraft, as well. The corruption is so high in Russia.

What is the point of improving weapon that already can destroy whole Earth? In any case launch will be visible, and thousands of such or similar rockets will be launched as an answer. Anti ballistic systems are useless due to the amount of rockets each country has, and due to the fact that each rocket launch x10 warheads.

God created the world in six days

He can also save you from hell and have a personal relationship with him today

    Romans 6:23

    Come to Jesus Christ today

Jesus Christ is only way to heaven
Repent and follow him today seek his heart Jesus Christ can fill the emptiness he can fill the void
Heaven and hell is real cone to the loving savior today
Today is the day of salvation tomorrow might be to late come to the loving savior today

    John 3:16-21

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

    Mark 1.15

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

    2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

    Hebrews 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Iran Drone Hits Kuwait Offshore Oil Rig | Horizons Middle East & Africa 7/13/2026

Published

Global markets remain focused on escalating tensions in the Middle East as the US and Iran exchange another round of military strikes. The US military launched a new wave of attacks targeting Iranian positions, while Iran responded with drone strikes aimed at US military positions in Kuwait. Washington says the latest operations are intended to degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, while the IRGC claims it struck a US drone operations center at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain. The renewed conflict has left energy markets on edge as uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz continues.
We also cover Apple’s lawsuit against OpenAI alleging trade secret theft, Nippon Paint’s $8.6 billion bid for Akzo Nobel’s paint business, reports that SoftBank is considering a stake in Seven & i Holdings, and the death of former Qatari ruler Sheikh Hamad, which comes as Senator Lindsey Graham’s political future raises fresh questions over US Senate succession.
In Asia, South Korea’s KOSPI trading was briefly halted after falling 8%, with SK Hynix leading the decline. Elsewhere, venture capital funding across the Middle East and North Africa fell 22% year over year during the first half of 2026, the UAE’s oil production reached a record high in June, and Senegal’s infrastructure plans face setbacks amid a growing debt scandal.
