Psaki calls 2024 GOP political strategy ‘based on getting likes,’ ‘disconnected from the country’
President Biden has vowed to a veto bill ending student debt relief, as 2024 GOP contenders focus on “wokeness,” and other culture war issues. “They are running a campaign based on Twitter, based on Truth Social, based on fundraising, based on getting more likes,” Jen Psaki, host of Inside With Jen Psaki, tells Joy Reid. “It is disconnected from the country.”

A new government report shows that IRS audits brought in $6.5 billion in the fiscal year 2025, which is down 35% from the year before when the IRS brought in $10 billion. The drop comes after DOGE made cuts to the IRS. Katy Tur has more details.

Remember when we used to answer questions? Carefuily sometimes but we – you and I were better informed (Will McAvoy's character in The Newsroom series cited oh yes and less afraid of EVERYTHING) Senator Scott is not doing his homework. He allegedly comes onto stages without an answer because answers are held to unless you are not held to anything. Most politicans. Nowadays.
