Global bond yields climbed back to the highest level in almost two decades as rising oil prices fueled inflation concerns and investors ramped up expectations that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates.
Plus, Anthropic agreed to a $35 billion computing deal with Lambda, a cloud provider backed by Nvidia, part of an effort to quickly expand its AI capacity, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The US and Iran exchanged strikes for the first time in about a month as American forces hit an island in the Strait of Hormuz and the Islamic Republic responded by launching attacks on the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
US Treasury yields ticked lower and stock futures were mixed as traders assessed the outlook for interest rates following Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s hawkish inflation comments at Jackson Hole.
John Ternus steps into his new role as Apple chief executive officer this week. Ternus won’t have much time before the company begins its annual fall product rollouts. This year the lineup will include an unusually ambitious slate of devices he’s been teasing for months internally.

Trump is not "preserving values." He is throwing America back 70 years!
Has nobody noticed how completely incapable and unqualified Trump is to
hold office? Are you serious?! Get a grip! Nobody seems to ask why the
Germans were so excited about supporting Hitler and the Nazi's in WWII.
Those that are not familiar with history are doomed to relive it. In only four
years, America has been nearly destroyed by this man and his corrupt
cronies. Jump on the Trump ultra-conservative, extreme-right bandwagon
if you want to, but Trump the fake president — Trump the Groper — has
nearly destroyed the nation in four years. I can't congratulate people on
losing their ways and becoming mindless Trumpites who drank the
Trump Kool-Aid. It takes a lot of grit to hold your own when the storms
start stirring around you. Trump is no leader. He is only a pretender.
America deserves better than what they have suffered under the heavy
hand of the extreme ultra-conservative far-right. I have lived through 12
presidencies, and Trump's is the worst I have ever seen. Wake up and
smell the coffee, America. You have a chance to take back your country
in November. I am a proud patriotic American, and I vote!

We shouldn't be surprised that Donald Trump and friends brought back THE RED SCARE this week mentioning Communism and Socialism throughout the Convention. Afterall Roy Cohn, Joseph McCarthy's right hand man, was Trump's long time mentor for many years (look it up). It makes perfect sense he would beat that same old drum, but it didn't work then and it won't work now. The American people are smarter than that. I met Donald Trump in the early 90's and he was by far the rudest human being I have ever met. What you are seeing and falling for is a persona, the man is an actor after all and a good one. If you want to know the real man, read his niece's book, or read the quotes from his own sister who said "He has no principles. None. None." Next week a new book is coming out called MELANIA AND ME where the first lady will tell us exactly what she really thinks about her husband. She was secretly taped. I'm certain it won't be good.
