Romney was a hack. The reality is liberals have started destroying the country and Constitution as a reaction to Trump winning. And all the while THEY think the other side is attacking democracy and the Constitution. These are the same people who truly believe Obama was a great President and not a do nothing, say nothing same old who continued Bush's foreign policy of wars….

Republicans have been loosing educated ( college and above) voters since Trump. The least Republicans can do is only what Romney is saying and that is you are smart and it doesn't take a genius to see Trump is a fraud and nothing more than a 2 bit con man televangilist wanna be.

i look at so many people who are enamored with djt and wonder what goes on in their minds. i can understand people having conservative values, or wanting to be conservatives, or even republicans, but this is based on previous generations of republicans where there were policies being discussed. now, it's all about violent revenge. how in the MFH does that move the country forward? who is acting like they want things to move forward? progressives and democrats. some people will argue about how dems and reps are both the same, and they are wrong as can be. if someone says otherwise, ask them to write down 10 policies that reps have put forth to help move america/americans forward since 2016 and you'll get the price of gas was lower. you can easily rattle off 10+ things that the dems have done in just the last 2 years that benefit america/americans.

The points made in this story are why the two party system is broken. We need a viable 3rd party to act as a guardrail when one party is going off the rails.

I heard Mexico and South America have passed abortion rights for women. It seems strange for US women to be losing their rights at the same time.

I'm gonna put Frau Cheney and her treasonous father into the same category! If you want to repeal the 13th Amendment so you can enslave pregnant Women to give birth against their will, fine! Say so. Don't pretend you aren't a slaver when you are. You can't just say you won when you lost. She shares that lack of interest in reality with the MAGA cult.

Romney is leaving to divest himself of the corrosive effect of genuine evil. All things being equal…high integrity colleagues, no Trump effect, sincere political efforts to solve America's problems, honesty…his age wouldn't be a factor and he'd run.

Romney was right. The results of Trump's election has been to raise the dregs of our society. We must find people with integrity and intelligence if we want to continue living with any semblance of freedom and any future of freedom. I refer to freedom that is way beyond being able to own a gun. I refer to freedom that gives people a legitimate path to build a future with respect for everyone.

I believe this horrible divide is happening between republicans and democrats can be traced to the evangelical church. It began with Regan and the Baker’s- then it was Farewell who started using politics as n the pulpit and siding with republicans. Then along came Bush Jr who was born again- during this time many church goers left traditional churches and began joining these almost cult like born again institutions. Who preachers advocated for republicans over democrats. I had a friend at that time tell me she was voting for Bush because her preacher told her too!! These crazy preachers pray on vulnerable people especially in rural areas. I think a tempering of this behavior could help us unite as a country

Mitt Romney is full of crap as he has always been. Joe Biden would’ve got the things done that Mitt says he hasn’t if it wasn’t for Mitt and GOP buddies… yes, I mean Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. I’ve got March 2024 when Mitt announces he’s changed his mind and is running again.

Trump suffers the consequences of poor staffing choices

Published

Jen Psaki looks at why Donald Trump is likely regretting staffing his administration based on culture war credibility rather than competence as FBI director Kash Patel’s antics appear to have reached critical mass, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is spending energy being upset about beards while being unable to end the war with Iran, and Vice President JD Vance is buying himself a multi-million dollar estate in the midst of a political season in which “affordability” is the biggest theme.
