As New York’s governor urges businesses to turn away unvaccinated customers, Florida’s governor is barring schools from mandating that children wear masks. This comes as the Sunshine State is grappling with a surge in cases and hospitalized COVID patients. Republicans have laid out the framework of tools necessary to end this pandemic. Make a vaccine mandate. Make the for lack of compliance penalty a felony. Offer a bounty for citizens who turn in non-compliant parties. They either get vaccinated or go to prison and lose the right to ever own a gun again. As a bonus, in some states they also won’t be able to vote again.
