Of course if convicted needs to spend time in prison? Why not, conman criminal defendant 45 thinks he isn’t under the law, apparently almost 3 years after his violent insurrection, and running for dictator again, maybe not?

Maybe we're not a long way from justice. Trump certainly tried to overturn the election and remain in the White House, and he knew he lost the election. Trump is the author of the big steal. There is no doubt he is guilty of fomenting a coup and the insurrection on January 6, 2021.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. If everyone is truly equal under the law, then he needs to go to jail. Other countries have jailed former leaders for criminal behavior, they are, by & large, democracies. They are still standing, their former leader did time, the dust settles & life went on. Can we be a lesser example in the world of equal law? If these countries can do it, so can we. Si se puedes.

The people he sent to the capital are in jail, he did Not. One. Thing. to help them. Not one. So if they have to go to prison then so does he!! Why should he get special treatment?! No no no no! The only reason he wasn't there was because Sectet Service did their job. Trump even attacked the driver. No. Same for him as his followers. The ones who believed him and did what he told them how they needed to do for this.🤬🤬💥🔥😡😡😡

msnbc: "should he be treated like anyone else"

people: " maybe like any corrupt Celtic king of the past ?" 🙂

people: "there once was a druidic Celtic bloody ritual… the sacrificial slaughter of corrupt kings, troublesome pretenders to the throne, defeated kings, … "

people: "could that be applied to him nowadays ? … he seems to fit the bill: a white Celtic supremacist, a fallen corrupt leader, a dangerous and irresponsible pretenders to leadership" 🙂

people: "i heard that the ritual was performed just before what is now halloween… " 🙂

trump: "wait a minute… are you advocating for violence ? just like me ?"

people: "no… it would be legal, ritual, spiritual, religious… and… that was all humorous talk… " 🙂

mnsbc: "this ex-president…should he be treated like anyone else?"

people: "He should be treated with extreme severity, much more severely than any other criminal…because we all need to cleanse ourselves of the national shame, the international dishonor, in which this ex-president threw us… this must never happen again… it must be said clearly, by an exceptionally harsh punishment… and it is a necessary condition for our collective healing" 🙂

If he is convicted in Georgia, in order to get a pardon, he would would have to serve the full sentence, not commit another criminal offense for 5 years and because of a history of having to deal with corrupt Governors, the Governor does not have that authority, a 5 member board of "Pardons and Paroles" issues it.

If Nixon had done time trump would never have been in the oval office and another trump should know if you do the crimes you will do the time. The laws matter.

I am definitely not being a Devil’s advocate for Trump here but his attorney‘s could try to argue that since Trump headed back to the Oval Office INSTEAD of joining his MAGA followers & others & therefore not having an actual PHYSICAL presence in the Jan. 6 Insurrection, disqualifies him from being sent to jail along with many followers who did storm the Capital & are now incarcerated. As far as I am concerned Trump‘s encouragement for his fans consequent behavior & then sitting in the Oval Office wolfing down Big Macs & for some time ignoring the results of his irresponsible behavior regarding what was happening at the Capital deserves much more accountability than what is likely to occur UNLESS he is fitted with an orange jump suit. At the very least, his threatening comments & defiance regarding the judge & the court orders should, IMO, put him in detention until his trial date takes place. This, in itself, should discourage his pathetic legal advisors from asking to have the actual trial dates pushed even further & further into the future. Imagine Trump cooling his heels in this manner, before his trial. During such a time he should also be prevented from twittering & regurgitating his continuous & ridiculous lies & FAKE news to his ignorant & gullible fan base.

The Media News only discusses Trump Trials.
One in New York is about something that happened 8 years ago.
Atlanta is about things the happened 3 1/2 years ago
The over due documents are going on 2 years ago.
J6 is boring. The Congressal J6 hearing started out on Prime Time Network TV, and due to lack of public interest ended up on CSPAN in the Afternoon.
The problem for the Democrats is that these indictment are getting boring.
You've seen one Trump indictment, you've seen them all.
The trials should be Televised because the charges against Trump are strange.

If convicted Trump will be sworn into the Office of the President wearing an Orange Jump Suit .
    Jail won't stop Trump's election.

‘A Cursed Era’: Anand Giridharadas on When Jordan Neely and Daniel Penny Met on a NYC Subway

Published

on

By

In 2023, a former Marine strangled a homeless Michael Jackson impersonator to death on a New York City subway. The story became national news, as Americans chose sides, either demanding justice for another Black man’s death at the hands of a white man or defending the actions of a former soldier who said he believed he was protecting the car’s passengers. Anand Giridharadas chronicled this deadly chapter in American history and its aftermath in his latest book Man in the Mirror. He dissects the divisions that have been spreading in the country in this – as he calls it – age of estrangement. “In a case about dehumanization,” he says. “I wanted to humanize everybody. ”
