What amazed me, watching on of trumps campaign rallies was that, HE didn't want to "throw out" the Make America Great Again" slogan because he thought it was corny, but, others insisted on it and told him to give it a try. so, he said, he did, When everyone lost their minds over it, he just kept using it. … They voted for a m@r@n who never believed what he was saying to begin with.

Gaetz is actually voting the same way he voted when McCarthy first ran for SoH, so I don't know why everyone is surprised. As for Democrats, why would they vote for someone who insults them and never wants to work with them? That's why Pelosi was awesome as SoH. She may have been a dragon, but she knew how to work both sides and she never made promises she couldn't keep. The Republican party is sad right now. Too much infighting and not enough governing. They are literally facing extinction as a party.

It's more a hatred of black people and other minorities. Rich people realized that they could reverse the New Deal reforms by enlisting the racism and white supremacy of a large part of the electorate. The millionaires and billionaires paid the best PR experts, the best advertising experts, the best manipulators, to re-direct people's hatred of African Americans and other minorities to hatred of the government instead. It's a dog-whistle. Government has gotten too big. Really? But only after the New Deal lifted millions of white people into the middle class. The civil rights legislation threatened to lift non-white people up (it did not, but threatened to). Attacking civil rights does not work. Attacking the big, bad, evil government — that works. Listen to the Lee Atwater recording (John Oliver played it on one of his shows last year). He laid out this plan pretty clearly.

Rep. Dean: Trump ‘Lit The Match’ That Caused The Capitol Hill Riots | Andrea Mitchell | MSNBC

Published

Congresswoman and impeachment manager Madeleine Dean (D-PA) tells Andrea Mitchell that President Trump “lit the match,” causing the riots at the Capitol on January 6. Dean also pushed back on the notion that impeaching a former president is unconstitutional. “And we do know, number one, it is constitutional because the text of the constitution is not just about removal as a result of impeachment and conviction but also future disqualification. The framers knew very much the threat of mobs and demagogues,” she said. Aired on 01/25/2021.

Sen. Murphy: Proposed Relief Bill ‘Could Get Us Through What Could Be A Very Hard And Deadly Winter’

Published

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss the proposal of a $908 billion COVID relief bill by a bipartisan group of senators as 14 million Americans could lose unemployment aid by the end of December. Sen. Murphy says, “This amount of money could get us through what could be a very hard and deadly winter. This isn’t big enough to be able to get us to the point where the entire country is vaccinated. But it might be enough to make sure that millions of Americans don’t go hungry, don’t starve, don’t die out on the streets this winter when their jobless benefits expire and when protections for evictions expire.” Aired on 12/01/2020.
