Supreme Court justices have been impeached in the past. What’s to keep it from happening again?

    1. Raise SCOTUS pay to $400k/yr
    2. Head justice presides over removal of other justices for ethical violations
    3. All justices vote on a particular justices recusal from a case
    4. Any outside financial benefit to justices from a third party go to all judges for a vote of immediate removal from office.

Just investigate Clarence Thomas and be done with it. He is who he is, and nobody is going to change him. Supreme Court Justices, apparently, can do what they want.

The salaries of government employees are good, but not great. A large number of government employees could make more money in the private sector. I do agree with Thomas on the salary level. The cost of living in Washington supports a better benchmark for public servants.

Congress should create a court to help the supreme avoid the appearance of legislating from the bench. The appearance occurs whenever a justice finds a need to do their own research in support of their opinion.

Judges should judge, explain but not research justifications.

This new court should be assigned questions to confirm or refute the "facts" to be used in an opinion that have not been established recently.
What were the rights to bear or not bear arms at the time of the second amendments?
Did the term of art "the people" have a specific meaning?
Were any children citizens prior to the 14th amendment?
Were women citizens before they could vote?
Does the term Republican form of government, imply the words legitimate and virtuous in the minds of the people who ratified the constitution?
If yes, is it virtuous to gerrymander for any reason except inadvertently?

I believe the legacy left behind should the supreme court make it their practice to utilize such a court would make impeachment an unnecessary threat.
If not a law requiring Congress to use its inherent contempt powers to investigate misadministration of the justices promptly when an opinion was issued without having the facts argued publicly.

Appalling that when one becomes a Supreme Court justice, one becomes essentially omnipotent. Thomas knew what he was getting into when he went through the vetting and confirmation process. If the salary was too low, he shouldn’t have accepted the appointment..

To say there is no check on the Supreme Court is ridiculous!!! Congress absolutely HAS & MUST check and balance the Supreme Court!!!

To say that millions of dollars in gifts to Judges from conversative Court fixers does not affect their legal decisions is light burying your heads in the sand! It's unethical AND ILLEGAL! It's a violation of the judges' oath and it diminishes public trust!
