Trump did not cause US Capital riot. A group of people present engaged in a riot. This has caused people critical of the riot, that was rather calm actually that I saw on TV. The news media and others description of events was “branded” as “insurrection”- and in my opinion it was not.

I once jumped down into the tracks, on 14th street and 3rd avenue, to pull a woman that had fallen on the opposite side of the tracks, North bound Manhattan. I crossed from the Brooklyn side, over 2 third rails and pulled her off the track she had hit with her head. She was bloodied and unconscious. I ran upstairs and alerted the toll booth operated and explained what happened. I waited for the police and ambulance and walked back across the street and bordered my L train to Brooklyn. Just thought I'd share that story. Never a word about it. No, I'm no a cop! Just an alert and concerned citizen.
