This is one of the things where I don't agree with Joe, the best way to make our healthcare system better right now is to crack down on the pharmaceuticals and hospitals, they charge ridiculous prices and you don't get better service and the employees are payed worse then other countries, that needs to change.

It’s funny how the offer during primaries but it’s. Unreal because they have to get it pass by the house and the senate which republicans will never go for it

funny how we only ask the question "how are we gonna pay for it?" when it comes to our healthcare system and not when its time to fund the military or Corp Bailouts. how about the next time a piece of shit bank goes under or Another Big Time Corporation we are " wait how are we gonna pay for it?"

I'm a Progressive Independent, so I obviously want a single-payer healthcare system, but as the son of a union pipefitter… I'm not for just yanking my father's health insurance, insurance he's LOVES, away from him, all of a sudden, either! We need a public option, as a segue, if nothing else, to get the public used to the idea of transitioning to single-payer.

  26. @matthewrider5906

    December 31, 2023 at 7:22 pm

While I would rather see a single-payer healthcare system come to America…. Americans damn-near insist on 'choice' when it comes to healthcare, man! And as a son of a labor union, card-carrying, building trades journeyman pipefitter, I gotta say…. My father has $100, $50 for him, same for my mother, withheld from his retirement pension, & that $50 buys them 'Gold' or 'Cadillac' coverage, and it's quite a bit better than Medicare, especially as far as dental, hearing, & vision goes…. So why should he be forced to give up what he earned, especially when he forwent wages for compensation in the form of benefits packages in the contract that his union negotiated for him & the other workers? And when you can have a public option plan that can rightfully be labeled Medicare For All (who want it)…. Damn! Is that ever gonna be tough to beat! But as a Progressive, I'd love to see a govt-run public option passed! I'm for progress! I want single-payer, but I'll totally celebrate a public option as a huge step toward the ultimate goal! No doubt about it!

"Bernie, put your hand down." 'Nothing will fundamentally change." "If you don't know whether you wanna vote for Me or Trump, then you ain't black!" Joe Biden

Everyone's talking about how great Bernie Sanders is but he's not in the White House as the president of the United States. People like being entertained our last president was very entertaining people get what they ask for. You guys did not want Bernie Sanders I guess he didn't have the right image to make you people feel comfortable which is totally ridiculous.I would have voted for him in a heartbeat thats exactly why I'm independent I did not vote for President Trump or President Biden now here in the present time America still suffering and in need of help and the Republicans are pissed off because there president didn't win the election. Also gas prices have gone up rent has gone up Republicans refused to agree with the stimulus check even some Democrats yes Joe Biden is president and yes the Republicans broke into the capitol claiming to hang the vice president they also blame the Democrats and said it was black lives matter and antifa they cannot own up to the destruction that they have created even some Democrats don't want us to have stimulus check
