McCaul Pushes Patriot Production in Ukraine
Rep. Michael McCaul says Ukraine is gaining momentum on the battlefield but urgently needs more Patriot interceptors and stronger air defenses to counter Russia’s escalating missile attacks. Eurasia, like the CSIS and its like sets of septic tanks, have lost the reverence they once had. They can continue singing to themselves. The wind has changed. The US Mask has been blown away. But the Naked Emperor continues to strut. Except this time to Ignominy.

Eurasia predicted in early 2022 that the biggest global risk was China's covid zero policy, bringing about global supply chain disruptions, shortages in labor, raw materials and finished goods, as well as inflation. That did not happen. In fact, despite the stringent covid measures, China is still expected to grow its GDP by 3.2% in 2022 (source: IMF). By comparison, the USA is expected to post a very muted 1.5% GDP growth in 2022. In fact, every facet of such global risk (supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, inflation) has been more relevant to the USA and the Euro zone instead.
In 2023, Eurasia has likewise placed China on top 2 risk, labelling it as 'Maximum Xi'. On the contrary, a resilient China that is finally opening up and its effective centralized administration may be the biggest stablizing factor for global trade and economy rather than being a risk factor.
Personally, I believe the biggest global risk in 2023 is the severe slowdown in global economic activity triggered by interest rate hiking by the USA and western countries. Some countries may face stagflation and some may see recession risks. Emerging countries may experience default risks on its hard currency borrowings.

You can't beat the chinese in a fair economic game like innovation and economic efficiency so you use underhanded methods. Look at how they bashed Japan and then forced unequal treaty when japan was rising after WW2. They feared japan, and japans lost decade today is due to western diplomacy.

The US is definitely the top of the risk list. The US provoked Russia by pulling Ukraine into NATO which ignited the Russia/Ukraine war. The US is provoking China by colonizing Taiwan which will definitely ignite the upcoming Taiwan war. The world will be peaceful if the US is restricted.

The biggest risk currently for Eurasia is in fact Chevron which has a truly massive presence going quite far back in Kazakhstan which Kazakhstan might in fact use to start flooding the Caucuses and Anatolia with refined energy product which ultimately would only have one place to go namely the USA maybe parts of the Caribbean or South Florida.
Chevron effectively runs all of Venezuela at the moment….a place with still the largest energy reserves on Earth tho lacking in both coal (Columbia) and Uranium (Canada and Kazahkstan.) Either way both Russia and Turkey are being absolutely consumed by Hyperinflation at the moment.

Putin and Xi must be delighted to be considered Risks 1 and 2 by the WEST. Mind you Xi would be expect to be in position 1, and no doubt he is working on proving that. As for foreign policy with China, just de-couple and accept short term economic pain for longer term gain.
