Parents are giving up green card fights to get their kids out of immigrant jail: Marshall Project
In 2013, Ana Kikabidze was selected to receive a U.S. green card. When unforeseen circumstances hit she had to move back to her home country. When she came back to the U.S. in May with her children, the family was arrested and sent to the controversial detention center in Dilley, Texas. Her book is a great read. We just hope sending trump to prison would be the end of corrupt and nasty people getting elected. but I won't hold my breath. Be aware of who is running and find out why they are. then vote..

Cassidy, you’re the real deal. I’m so glad you had the opportunity to do this interview and I’m so glad you were able to develop a friendship with Alex. I was in tears watching this and I wasn’t even involved!! I’m with Lawrence; I would have been in tears too, being in his shoes. I don’t know if you will ever see this but I want you to know how meaningful this is for me, since I am old enough to remember the Watergate Hearings that were on TV every day. I remember his and others’ testimony about this, and how courageous they had to be to speak truth to power, and they were all older than you, as far as I remember. For you to be able to do this at your age with the enormous amount of pressure you had is really remarkable. I hope you take Alex’s words that Lawrence played for you to heart because from my view, he is absolutely right. And, my tears really flowed when he asked you for the favor, if 50 years later you have someone needing your help that you would be willing to help. I’m absolutely with you in hoping that you don’t have to because we ALL hope that you will not need to because we will have figured out how to keep it from happening again. Those of us who have been through this with Watergate didn’t think we would ever be in a situation like this either. I’m sorry that you had to be in the middle of this mess, and the fact that you have chosen to make something good come from it is a true test of your character and your integrity as a human being. I hope that you are doing all the self-care you need to while going through this, even in the aftermath and your scheduled interviews because these can still be stressful and you deserve to have the time to heal and recover from this experience. I wish you all the best and I look forward to seeing how you continue to change the world!! ❤

People who work for her publisher have described how nervous and "unenthused" Hutchison was/is about this book tour thing. She preferred not to do it in the beginning. She allegedly had to be convinced by several people to "support the book", then ultimately coached for appearances. She's obviously not getting used to it (easily detected by her hand-ringing and general nervousness). But she is to be admired and supported for her moral fortitude, honesty, dedication, and perseverance after being for all intents and purposes, a Victim of that cult-like circle. If there is any shame to be garnered from a 'Cassidy Hutchison' type of personality, it is that she is EXACTLY what the Nation needs in Congress… but would be suppressed if not run out of Washington, DC entirely.
However, and sadly, an honest, intelligent Human is not likely to seek a position in politics in its current state of dysfunction and — if they do — are very likely to become numbed by the Bad Men & Women, or simply resign out of frustration and/or humiliation. Such is the 'State Of The Union'.

I am listening to her book, read by her. Poor eye sight. So idealistic, so young, so naive. Republicans use to care about America and democracy. She hopes they still do. The few that do have left politics, are leaving or been voted out as Rinos. She has the intelligence and decency to figure it out. Much she already has. Someday she may realize that todays democrats are what republicans were in Lincoln’s time.

I watched this interview with Lawrence and Cassidy Live, it is so lovely to watch it again and to feel reassured that there are many good people with a good heart that want to do what is best for the greater good. I hope that Cassidy will run for President one day and bring the authenticity and integrity to the Office of the President of the United States, we need more selfless and giving people in these important roles to make a change for all of humanity.
