"Forest fires" have 800-1000C peak temp. Steel melts at 1300C.
How does a forest fire melt a car into a charred heap … no glass, no tires.
The "calling card" for DEW are completely incinerated cars. Sometimes the cars are melted without much forest fire fuel nearby … or will be melted with a nearby tree having dry leaves and branches .. or seemingly targeted among other cars untouched with no fuel nearby to ignite the cars.
