Abbott has to accuse migrants because this covers him if cases rise due to his decision to lift the COVID ban. This is a page out of Trump's playbook. Start the lie early and then use it if things work against you. Trump did this by saying that the election would be rigged a year before the actual election. Abbott will say that the cases are rising because of migrants and not because of his own actions.

More people will die from Greg Abbott’s mask-lifting policy in Texas than from migrants bringing COVID to Texas.

But more than 6% crossing the border have been tested POSITIVE for covid yet they are put on busses with those who tested negative and sent to other locations. They are NOT quarantining these people. They are NOT protecting the rest. They are NOT even keeping records of those who test positive and theres no paperwork being sent with them to the housing facilities! That's not bigoted or racist!! Thats FACTS!

There is absolutely nothing racist about wanting to lock the windows and doors of your home, or being selective about who you allow onto your property.
I live in south TX about half an hour from the border and I have family in Mexico. My mom is Mexican (legal immigrant) and even she vehemently disagrees with allowing so many people in especially during a pandemic! I spoke to some of my Mexican family members over there and they also don't want all of these foreign migrants moving through their country. I feel bad for these people but they're not being tested or vetted, they're just being let in. What are we gonna do with so many mouths to feed? How are we going to support them or how are they going to support themselves?

DeSantis is wrong. All states got clobbered. The virus crossed state lines. Lockdown states had waves, loose states had constant bad numbers. Texas has been covid-infested since last summer. DFW has consistently had some of the highest numbers in the nation.
