I disagree that Murdoch was scared to use his power to oppose Trump. Murdoch has hundreds of times the wealth of Trump, and is a hundred times smarter (a low bar, I know). He didn't give a toss whether what he allowed to be promoted on Fox was lies, all he was interested in was the money he could make by pushing all the Trump lies and misinformation.
