This isn't a big surprise with this reaction by the Great Old Party of Hypocrisy. On the sane side though, this nominee has NO BUSINESS with taking this role. If Biden was actually on the side of the left and not cemented on the right of middle ground, this woman should never have been thought of let alone nominated for this position. Based off of what her past and records show, they clearly expose her for what real motives are.

Can't we have a majority vote and get our cabinet nominees confirmed? Maybe we need to make a new law by our Democrat majority to get them in.

When have republicans shown any sign of 'bi-partisanship' and 'unity' when they had the power? Can someone refresh my memory?
Best advice: ignore republicans completely if necessary to bring good to ALL American people.

I don't why it is hard for Joy and her Pundits to go for the spine when dealing with Manchin. They should gin up the campaign of a direct opposition to him (Yes, I mean Primary him).He is the most dubious, and obstructive senator and his behavior is always telling. He joins democrats to campaign and once they have the control, He becomes the problem. He is a political pervert. Why is the Democrats wasting time on him and making him relevant than who he is?
Rip off is spine and make him pee in his pants. If not, then you guys are not ready for a meaningful change.

All three of the Republican doctors in the Senate broke their oaths as doctors and Senators denying science and honesty as one questioned Haaland about whether she believed all 3 were pro science because they were doctors. Haaland was nice I am not! All 3 of you so called doctors are liars and cowards cuz I never heard one Republican doctor in the Senate ever stand up against the bullcrap coming out of the Trump administration and Trump himself about the virus. Shame! It's time we start taking a closer look at these Senators and their tweets and statements over the past 4 years… Just sayin'

Pete Buttigieg: Hegseth is ‘EMBARRASSMENT’ making U.S. weaker

Published

on

By

Pete Buttigieg joins Nicolle Wallace on The Best People for a wide-ranging conversation about President Trump’s second term, the damage he says it is doing to America’s standing in the world, and what it will take to rebuild trust in the country’s institutions.

Buttigieg gets into a push to change the Supreme Court pushing for more justices. He discusses what could move officials to “reunite with their conscience,” confront wrongdoing, and stop rewarding conduct they know is wrong.

Plus, Buttigieg takes on what he calls the Trump administration’s “grotesque grift” and “naked corruption”; criticizes Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s handling of Iran and calls for Congress to demand answers; and explains why world leaders are increasingly worried that the United States is no longer reliable.

In this episode:

*Buttigieg on restoring America’s credibility abroad
*Why he says life is worse under Trump
*The moral and strategic crisis facing the country
*His argument for changes to the Supreme Court
*Why Democrats need to be about — and for — something
*His reaction to the Kimmel and Colbert moments, and what powerful leaders in other jobs can learn from them
*Why Buttigieg continues to appear on Fox News
*The role of attention, celebrity and “star power” in Trump-era politics
*His criticism of Marco Rubio and the administration’s leadership
*What makes this a make-or-break moment for American democracy
