The Wall Street Journal has a new two-part feature detailing what it describes as Europe’s ‘rupture’ with the United States following this week’s NATO Summit in Turkey. The Journal reports that President Trump’s tariff’s and threats to take Greenland has sparked a quote, “rebellion” amongst European leaders who are now drawing limits on so-called “flattery diplomacy.” The paper reports many leaders now view autonomy as the long-term goal,. Rather than a temporary measure, adding that even if leadership changes the era of relying on America so heavily had ended. The reporters behind the story join Morning Joe to discuss the ground-breaking revelations.

The Trump administration issued subpoenas on Friday to several journalists for The New York Times, after the paper reported on security concerns involving President Trump’s new Qatari-donated Air Force One. In some cases, the subpoenas were delivered by federal agents who showed up at reporters’ homes. The subpoenas seek to force the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday, and are an extraordinary escalation in President Trump’s efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news organizations. NYT Investigative reporter Michael Schmidt joins Morning Joe with more on this developing story.

Ok, I have to ask the House of Representatives: is not retribution/revenge carried out by this completely disgraceful and cowardly asswipe, D. Trump, against whistleblowers WHO ARE PROTECTED BY LAW, another impeachable offense!? During the impeachment process, officials took seriously the actual verbal THREATS the President spewed against Vindman, etc., offering actual protection and an undisclosed, safe place for he and his family. Now, so far at least, no one is demanding justice for Trump's "enemies." Every senator, representative, and government lawyer (except Giuliani, who has a free pass to play detective in eastern Europe) who remains SILENT is lacking a backbone! I hope at least a few of them, including the reprehensible Republican party (except for Mitt Romney, a courageous, ethical man during this impeachment "attempt"), "grow a couple,," as piggy men sometimes say, and START COUNTING Trump's NEW impeachable offenses. Leave nothing out…make them stick…and I guess we'll see just how far the Senate will bend over in service to Trump That grossly overweight, two-toned, UGLY AS SIN with a really bad new hairweave, counterfeit man (I suspect he really is a babboon, but a particularly stupid one) belongs in a jail cell, or at least on permanent display at the D.
