   I encourage all of you in the comments to research who actually owns these "news" companies. (On both sides) Then look into what the people who own them benefit from. It's best to get your news from people who aren't literally owned by various billionaires with personal interests..

   Fox is the only news show that admitted persistently and egregiously lying to its viewers 2:59 . So far they’ve been fined $0.8 Billion, and there’s another $1-4 Billion in the pipeline.

   Why do people continue to listen to Fox News knowing this? When I’ve watched Fox they just sound like a bunch of barking dogs.

    I worked for Murdoch.
    His methods trickle down to the shop floor.
    That’s why all his Sat TV engineers are doing private work in company time, selling Sat TV gear on E Bay and selling cable to independent installers.
    I questioned the new bonus scheme in front of the team (looked good in the adverts, cost us a grand each per year)
    Got hounded out of the job (easy – Health & Safety rules have a different function for the Murdoch types.)

    I heard a smart guy who dealt with a lot of people's issues and his sanity was to just accept that people lie. What's MORE important, is what is motivating them to do so, and what outcomes have them frightened/insecure such that they're willing to violate their own sense of honesty.

    When my gag response can be suppressed, I too “watch” Fox News; as of yet, I feel no inclination to join the Red MAGA cult. If Murdoch has unintentionally taught me anything, it’s that I have to be more sophisticated in how I consume what’s being served as news. In that, there’s no small irony.
